This week it is National Storytelling Week. At The Chadderton, we will be celebrating all week with teachers reading to different classes and our older children reading to our younger children.

During our weekly computing lesson, Year 2 have been learning more about programming. We have been using the language forward, backward, left, right, quarter turn and half turn to write algorithims to programme Bee-Bot. We wrote our algorithms on white boards and checked to see if our instructions were accurate when Bee-Bot set off.

This week Year 3 were lucky enough to have a visitor join them in the classroom to share lots of facts and artefacts about the Second World War. They enjoyed hearing her stories and asking lots of fact finding questions.

This afternoon, Pre Prep 1 made dream catchers with our future dreams written on the back. We had some children who wanted to be police officers, dancers, singers, youtubers and teachers.

Christmas time at The Chadderton ⛄

Our Little Gems, Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 pupils recently performed a very festive Cock-a-Doodle Christmas play, which truly brought the festivities to The Chadderton!

Well done everyone, you did a fantastic job!

Today we had a lovely surprise at with a lovely visit from The Chadderton Preparatory Grammar School council. 🎁🤩

The School council have been busy raising money from a sweet stall at school, and have used the money to go to Smyths toy store and buy gifts for 🎁🎅

It was so lovely to meet you all today and get the chance to thank you in person. Thank you so much for your amazing generosity and for telling us all about why you have helped this year! ❤🥰
