Our annual book fair will continue this week on Tuesday to Friday in the Kennedy Hall before and after school. Every child is entitled to £1 off any book priced over £2.99 with a world book day voucher. Coppice community are readers!

YOUNG VOICES 2025! Coppice children are Musicians and Performers!

‘Fake news’ is a widespread issue in the digital world, and it's overwhelmingly likely that both children and adults will be exposed to it online ❌📰 In fact, a study from the Alan Turing Institute has found that 94% of people in the UK have encountered misinformation on social media 📈 and that’s only the ones who were aware of it!

Year 4 children took part in a reading cafe with their parents. They were given lots of tips and ideas of how to read at home, for example, creating a family reading time, playing I spy to get to know the book and reading bingo. It was lovely to see all the parents and children reading together and Miss Shore and Miss Nadim look forward to seeing how many of you can complete the book bingo challenges.

Year 4 children took part in World book day. We read a book about Ancient Greece and did some acting around it. Our children are readers!

Nursery children have enjoyed sharing ‘Pete the Cat’ books. We had some super costumes on World Book Day. Coppice children are Readers!

Nursery children had an amazing experience, meeting and handling the animals and reptiles. They were very brave and gentle.

This week Year 5 made a traditional Viking stew using the ingredients which would have been available when the Vikings invaded and settled in Britain in the Viking way! The children used their historical knowledge as well as food technology skills. Coppice children are amazing learners!

The platform allows them to video call, message and participate in group chats. It is really important to understand the risks associated with this app and how you can keep your children safe. Together we are keeping our children safe!
