This morning the children used cotton balls and buds to print an under the sea background using different shades of blue. They added white paint to make even more shades. We have played outside in-between the showers and this afternoon the children made a silhouette in the shape of a sea creature, they added this along with sand and sequins to complete their artwork. Some children have also enjoyed sausage /chicken nuggets with chips, sweets and a drink deliciously cooked by Diggle Chippy xx

This morning we had a visit from PCSO Mike and his colleagues. They talked to the children about their job role, equipment on their uniforms, how to stay safe and antisocial behaviour. I think the highlight of the visit was watching Mel being arrested and placed in handcuffs, Big Bear being escorted to the police van and each child having a turn in the cell! This afternoon we have made fruit kebabs with some treats ( marshmallows and chocolate sauce), finishing the day playing in the forest area and trim trail xx

The children have had a busy couple of days in club. Yesterday to keep cool in the heat they had a water fight (although I don't know who got wetter - the children or the staff!), enjoyed soaking their feet in tubs of water, ate plenty of ice pops and made alien biscuits. Today the children had lots of fun at Play Diggle, went on a walk around the local area and spent time on the park xx

Today the children have spent lots of time outside, they have been in the mud kitchen, played with the supermarket, bubbles and chalk, they have also made space biscuits. This afternoon we had a visit from Carl who works for Biffa recycling. He talked to the children about the 3R's ( reduce, reuse and recycle), the different bins and materials to put in them, how plastic and glass are made, talked about how long certain everyday items take to recycle if not put in the correct bin. We then did a sorting activity and reused the paper to make aeroplanes xx

The children started the day by crafting aliens and building models with the small construction toys. We then went outside to play team games such as Duck Duck Goose, Tig and Bulldogs and practised our skills on the trim trail. This afternoon we have made pizzas, enjoyed some gymnastics and found a mini beast called a Rove Beatle. Some children found a large twig and used string to decorate it xx
