A few photos from our final workshop at Saddleworth Museum and Gallery last week, and what a brilliant way to finish! 🎨

It’s been such a fun summer of creativity at the museum. We’ve loved seeing all the ideas, imagination and fantastic artwork the young people (and adults!) have produced, and most importantly, seeing everyone enjoying themselves and having a go.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along to one of the workshops, and to all the museum staff and volunteers who helped make everything run so smoothly.

If you or your child took part this summer, we’d really love to hear what you thought. What did you enjoy? Is there anything we could do differently? And what sorts of creative workshops would you like to see in the future? Please leave a comment or send us a message.

Hopefully we've inspired you try some new things, or maybe look again at some of your old art materials! Here’s to more making, experimenting and getting creative! ✂️🖌️🧶

In our last clay workshop yesterday at Saddleworth Museum and Gallery we looked at some of the morris sides who will be performing this weekend for the 50th Saddleworth Rushcart. Can you tell which dancing sides these figures are from?

What an amazing time we had this week at Saddleworth Museum and Gallery for our first clay-modelling workshop with Kevin Threlfall Art!

We explored the museum and discovered some of the myths and legends connected to Saddleworth. Everyone began by designing their own creature before experimenting with clay and bringing their ideas to life.

It was fantastic to see the artwork develop from the first sketches into the finished clay models. Great work, everyone!

A big thank you to the museum volunteers for helping everything run so smoothly. Everyone had a brilliant time and went home with a fabulous creation of their own.
