Our latest guide supports parents, carers and educators in helping young people approach results day with perspective, reassurance and confidence.
The guide explores:
• Setting the tone early and reducing pressure before the day
• Normalising different outcomes and preparing for next steps
• Staying calm, present and supportive when results arrive
• Exploring options and alternative pathways together

Important changes to Free School Meals are coming into effect from September 2026.
🟣All households who receive Universal Credit irrespective of household income will qualify for Free Meals Support.
🟣So more people should be eligible.
🟣Anyone who is already receiving Free School Meals must have their eligibility re-checked using our OFSM application system.
If action is not taken before September, your child's meal allowance will not continue/start in the new academic year.
If you're not already receiving Free School Meals, apply today, you may be missing out! Eligible students will benefit from a nutritious daily free meal.

Spending time outdoors can play an important role in children’s wellbeing, learning, confidence and development.
However, busy routines, safety concerns and limited access to outdoor space can make it harder for families, schools and carers to prioritise time in nature.
Our latest guide shares simple, practical ideas to help children reconnect with the natural world, including:
• Noticing wildlife during everyday routines
• Taking familiar activities outside
• Creating mini adventures
• Growing plants or building nature at home
• Using technology to identify birdsong, insects and wildlife
• Supporting older children with independence and sensible risk-taking
With realistic ideas for all ages, the guide helps make outdoor time feel accessible, enjoyable and worthwhile.
