A very special day... For an inspirational group of students.

Our founding cohort: the group who trusted us at the beginning, who took a chance on our new Level 4 programme, and who have spent two years doing the deep, courageous and often challenging work of training to become counsellors.

Their final lesson consisted of reflection and celebration of both academic and personal achievements. And of course... Really good food!

This may be a bit of a cheat - but in a month where we focus on Ethics, it seemed only fitting to celebrate and unpick the Ethical framework.

📖 From Level 2 onwards, our students study the BACP Ethical Framework with a view to becoming BACP student members, before qualifying.

The BACP Ethical Framework underpins learning, skills development, and professional growth. Early engagement helps students build ethical awareness and confidence throughout their training journey.

Its overall purpose:

⚖️ To protect clients by promoting safe, ethical, and professional practice
🔀 To support ethical decision-making, particularly in complex or challenging situations
🤝 To set professional standards that promote accountability and trust across the profession
