Beal Vale Primary School

Year 9 Crompton House (CH) pupils came to read with Reception on Friday! The younger children showed their developing reading skills across a variety of tasks and chose books to share. All the children and adults had a fantastic afternoon, sharing a love of reading.

Good morning everyone.
All of the children are awake (despite being a little tired after a busy and exciting residential!) and are enjoying their breakfast. They have had a fantastic time at Castleshaw, have been a credit to Beal Vale with their respectful and responsible behaviour, and are now looking forward to seeing you all at 9:00am.

Today, we celebrate all the fathers and father figures who make a difference in the lives of our children.
Whether you are a dad, step-dad, grandad, uncle, foster carer or another special person, thank you for the care, encouragement and support you give. The positive impact you have on our children's lives is invaluable.

The children are now settling down for the evening and enjoying a film with biscuits and a drink before bedtime. It has certainly been a busy day filled with activities, adventures and lots of fresh air, so they are definitely ready for a good night's sleep!

A fantastic afternoon!

What a fantastic afternoon at Castleshaw! The children have been busy building shelters, learning a range of knots, making fires, toasting marshmallows and enjoying a well-earned hot chocolate. They also took part in an archery competition, showing great determination and enthusiasm.
Every child had the opportunity to experience each activity, and it was wonderful to see so many hidden talents emerge throughout the afternoon. There were plenty of smiles, lots of teamwork and many memorable moments. We are incredibly proud of how the children have embraced every challenge and made the most of this amazing experience. 😊🏹🔥☕🏕️

A fantastic morning canoeing at Castleshaw! The children had an amazing time on the water and showed great teamwork, resilience and enthusiasm throughout the activity. There were lots of smiles and laughter, and some of the children were even brave enough to jump into the water for a swim! Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the experience and has made some wonderful memories already. 🚣‍♂️🌊😊

What a fantastic first day at Castleshaw!
Today, the children have taken part in caving and orienteering, showing great teamwork, resilience and enthusiasm throughout the day. They have also experienced the challenge of making their own beds – which was certainly an adventure in itself!
After a busy and exciting day, everyone is now settling down and getting ready for bed. The children have been a credit to Beal Vale and we are incredibly proud of them.
We look forward to another fun-filled day tomorrow and will continue to keep you updated on our adventures.
