We’re proud to support former Beal Vale pupil Jack Ingham, who is organising a fantastic charity event to raise funds for North West Air Ambulance and ANDYSMANCLUB. 💛
Following a serious accident earlier this year, North West Air Ambulance played a vital role in saving Jack’s life, making this event especially meaningful to him and his family.
📅 Saturday 28th November
🕐 1pm–6pm
📍 The Shawside
Please share and help spread the word!

📸 On Thursday 8th October 2026, our photographer will be in school ready to capture those beautiful smiles, shiny shoes and perfectly styled hair (although we can't guarantee the hairstyles will survive beyond the first five minutes!).
Please ensure all children arrive on time and in full school uniform. If your child has PE on Thursday, they will need to bring their PE kit with them to change into afterwards.
Time to practise those picture-perfect smiles – cheese! 📸😊

This week we read ‘The Invisible String’. We thought about the string that connects us to the people we love. We learned about different families and created pebble art. We made repeating patterns, read classic tales, created a band and Arlo won the weekly hero award & cape!

Last week Reception were rather busy. We explored special objects linking with RE, created with blocks, took on roles in Beal Vale Clothes Shop, sequenced numbers, developed balance skills in PE, and play using stilts & the climbing frame. We also won class attendance!

What a fabulous start to the year. Our theme for the first half term is Marvellous Me! We have thought about feelings and modelled emotions. Started mastering number, learned routines, painted portraits, completed fine motor activities and made our own characters!

Year 2 had an amazing day out at Martin Mere Wetland Centre. As part of our science topic - Living Things and Their Habitats, the children met a variety of different birds and animals including: swans, Chilean flamingoes, moorhens, ducks, Canadian geese and otters, living in their natural habitats. They also explored two microhabitats: the pond edge and the woodland floor. The children had a brilliant time following the story of Ava who was half-human, half-osprey, solving clues so that they could help her discover how to migrate south with her family. The children in Year 2 embodied our 3Rs and gained lots of new knowledge, including finding out how they can become Guardians of the Wild!

Jigsaw club in Years 3 and 4 is being enjoyed on a Thursday. The children are divided into two camps - those that find all the edges and corners first, and those that freestyle their jigsaw, and complete it from the inside out. Either way is okay, because they are all having fun! 🧩

We’re incredibly proud to share that one of our Beal Vale parents is taking on an amazing challenge to help children and families affected by childhood cancer.
We know our Beal Vale community is always fantastic at getting behind others, so please take a look at the flyer below and, if you are able to, consider showing your support by donating or sharing their challenge.
Every mile matters. 🧡
Wishing Joe and Matt the very best of luck from everyone at Beal Vale – we’ll be cheering you on! 👏🏃‍♂️
