Over the last couple of weeks weve had 2 new starters who have both settled in straight away.

The little ones all seem so happy to be back at our regular play groups and back to routine after the summer holidays 💗❤️💗

Today we said goodbye to a very special little girl as she is starting big girl school next week.
❤️ After watching her grow and learn over the past two and a half years, it’s going to feel so strange not having my little chatterbox here on Tuesday, telling me all her funny little stories. 🥹

She has brought so much joy, laughter and personality into our days, and I’m going to miss her more than she knows. Watching her grow into the wonderful little girl she is today has been such a privilege. ❤️

Wishing you the happiest of adventures on your next chapter, sweetheart. You will be so very missed! 🥰✨

Little friendships are so special. 🥰

The early years are all about learning how to build relationships, show kindness and care for others. These little moments remind me just how important those first friendships are.
As children grow, we gently help them learn about kindness, respecting each other's personal space and understanding that we always ask before giving hugs or kisses. These everyday experiences help children develop empathy, confidence and the social skills they'll use throughout their lives.
Watching these friendships grow is one of my favourite parts of being a childminder. ❤️

Today we had so much fun and took part in lots of different activities! From free play to sensory water play for the younger children, and a lesson about boundaries for the older children, complete with dancing and singing. We also enjoyed story time and nursery rhymes. ❤️

Today is not only World Bee Day but also World Metrology Day so we decided to use the day to focus on Maths in the early years and introducing new vocabulary such as big, small, tall, short, enormous and tiny. We explored measuring and comparing by measuring all the children and talking about who was the tallest and who was the shortest 📏 we then read a book on Bees 🐝 containing lots of Bee facts ❤️

Familiar characters help little ones feel confident and engaged while supporting imagination, language and social development through small world play 💛

P.S. I know Peppa Pig isn’t every parent’s favourite programme 😅 but the children absolutely love the characters and they always encourage lots of imaginative play and conversation!
