Little friendships are so special. 🥰

The early years are all about learning how to build relationships, show kindness and care for others. These little moments remind me just how important those first friendships are.
As children grow, we gently help them learn about kindness, respecting each other's personal space and understanding that we always ask before giving hugs or kisses. These everyday experiences help children develop empathy, confidence and the social skills they'll use throughout their lives.
Watching these friendships grow is one of my favourite parts of being a childminder. ❤️

Today is not only World Bee Day but also World Metrology Day so we decided to use the day to focus on Maths in the early years and introducing new vocabulary such as big, small, tall, short, enormous and tiny. We explored measuring and comparing by measuring all the children and talking about who was the tallest and who was the shortest 📏 we then read a book on Bees 🐝 containing lots of Bee facts ❤️

Familiar characters help little ones feel confident and engaged while supporting imagination, language and social development through small world play 💛

P.S. I know Peppa Pig isn’t every parent’s favourite programme 😅 but the children absolutely love the characters and they always encourage lots of imaginative play and conversation!
