The publication of this year's GCSE and vocational results sees Crompton House School’s Class of 2026 celebrating excellent achievements and maintaining the school’s outstanding record of academic success which began when the school first opened its doors in 1926.

This year’s results represent significant milestones across the school. Crompton House has achieved its strongest Attainment 8 performance in a standard examination year since 2018, alongside substantial increases in the proportion of students securing both standard and strong passes in English and Mathematics. Headline figures include Maths & English Grades 4 and above at 74%. Maths & English Grades 5 and above at 55%. Maths & English Grades 7 and above at 13% and GCSEs marked at 4 and above at 75%.

The positive outcomes achieved by students reflect the school’s commitment to ensuring that every young person is supported to fulfil their potential.

The results are a credit to the hard work and commitment of the students, as well as the dedication of their teachers and the invaluable support provided by parents and carers.

Marking the beginning of our 100th year, our students have achieved an outstanding set of A Level results at Crompton House Sixth Form!

We’re incredibly proud of our Year 13 students, who have achieved an exceptional set of results with the headline figures being:
53% achieved all A*–B grades
25% achieved a clean sweep of A* and A's
99.8% overall pass rate
Over 75% secured their first-choice university

Incredibly, our provisional progress measure places us in the top 10% of Sixth Forms nationally - we are thrilled to see this!

Whether it's Oxford, Cambridge, Manchester or other leading universities, music conservatoires and top apprenticeship destinations, our students are heading on to an exciting range of futures.

A huge congratulations to every student for their hard work, resilience and determination — and to our dedicated staff and families for supporting them every step of the way.

Our World Cup Penalty Shootout competition brought an incredible atmosphere to the school this week, with students from Year 7 to Year 10 taking part. Multiple teams from each year group competed from Monday to Thursday, all hoping to secure a place in Friday's finals.

The event attracted fantastic support throughout the week, with large crowds gathering on the hill behind the goals each day to cheer on their friends and create a brilliant tournament atmosphere. It was great to see so many students getting involved, whether competing or supporting from the sidelines.

Congratulations to all of the teams who took part and to our overall champions, who were presented with individual medals and the tournament trophy. We look forward to seeing whether they can retain their title when the competition returns.

A week ago today, our Year 11 Prom once again proved to be a fantastic evening, with students making unforgettable arrivals in style. Whether they arrived on foot, in luxury cars or limousines, on the backs of motorbikes or even on horseback, there was plenty to catch everyone’s attention as students celebrated the completion of their secondary school journey.

The evening was filled with laughter, music and celebration, and it was wonderful to see everyone looking so smart and enjoying the occasion together. Prom is always a special opportunity to reflect on the memories made throughout school while looking ahead to exciting new chapters.

We congratulate all of our Year 11 students on everything they have achieved during their time with us and wish them every success as they move on to sixth form, college, apprenticeships or employment. We are incredibly proud of all of you and look forward to hearing about your future achievements with great joy.

An unforgettable farewell to our unforgettable Year 11 cohort 🎓✨

Our Valedictory was a celebration of talent, memories, and the incredible journey our students have shared together. From beautiful piano solos and powerful vocal performances to energetic band sets and heartfelt speeches, the event showcased the spirit and creativity of our Year 11s.

The celebration concluded with one final tradition — students and staff lining the pathways to clap our Year 11s out through the front gates, marking the end of one chapter and the beginning of another.

We are so proud of everything you have achieved and cannot wait to see where your futures take you. You'll all remain always part of the CHS family 💛

We are thrilled to celebrate the outstanding achievements of Ebony and Mia, who have returned glowing from the All Star World Championships 2026 in Orlando, Florida, as World Champions. Competing with Hydra, Crimson Heat Phoenix, the girls took part in one of the most competitive divisions at the event. Their strong performance in the semi-finals saw them place third overall, securing a place in the finals.
