Deputy Manager Position available at our Oldham setting.

The successful applicant should be:
• Highly Motivated
• Possess strong leadership skills
• Be an effective Communicator at all levels
• Be able to lead a team successfully
• Confident in training and monitoring a team
• Be able to deputise in the absence of the Manager
• Be adaptable to challenging situations
• Be happy to attend training courses
• Possess an in-depth knowledge of safeguarding children
• Have an excellent understanding of Early Years Practice

The successful applicant will be responsible for supporting the Nursery manager in leading a large team, including apprentices.
You will be responsible for assessing performance, assisting with identifying good practice and areas of improvement, implementing improvements where required.
Supporting Room Leaders in training and progression of their teams.
Reporting to the management team on both specific and non-specific areas and projects.
Ideally you will be confident in IT as you will be required to use the settings Various IT equipment and systems.

We hope all of our Children, parents and carers have had lots of fun enjoying the sun over the half term holidays. It might have disappeared for the day today but according to the forecast the sun will hopefully be back for weekend and next week.
Can we ask parents to ensure the following:

 That all children have had sun cream applied before nursery which we will top up throughout the day
 Children are dressed in light clothing and have a few changes of clothes as we think there will be lots of water play
 All children arrive with a sun hat, as we don’t have any spare at nursery

On Monday 3rd May, nursery will be closed due to Bank Holiday. Nursery will reopen as normal on Tuesday 4th may.

During the weekend on Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th April, the nursery premises was sadly broken into. This was over both of the evenings.
We know from CCTV footage this was at approximately 9.58pm by 2 males. The theft has been reported to the police and CCTV footage has been passed to them.
Stolen was a large quantity of artificial grass, from two of our playgrounds. As you can imagine this has caused lots of upset to both the children and staff.
If you have heard of anyone selling any artificial grass or have seen anything suspicious, please could you let us know?
