A small number of places are becoming available in Years 2, 3, 5 and 6 due to families relocating.

If you’re looking for a school place, we would love to welcome you for a tour!

The best way to understand Lightwoods is to see it in action. A tour gives you the chance to walk through the school, meet staff and pupils and get a real sense of the learning and community day to day. Most families tell us they know quite quickly once they visit.

To book a tour, contact the school office on 0121 429 2542 or [email protected].

To introduce Year 5’s new E3L ‘What the Dickens’, children arrived at school dressed as Victorians. In the afternoon, they explored the differences between rich and poor Victorian lives before heading outside to play hopscotch, hoop rolling, tag and British bulldog, which proved the most popular.

Year 6 took part in a workshop with Loudmouth Education and Training, using interactive drama and discussion to explore growing up, puberty, and the physical and emotional changes children may experience. The session also looked at healthy relationships, focusing on respect, boundaries and communication, supporting pupils as they prepare for the transition to secondary school.
