Oldbury Academy students celebrate another set of wonderful exam results! We are really proud to share how well our students performed and the scenes of delight when opening their results was a fitting reward for all their hard work.

GCSE results day is TODAY, Collect your results between 9am and 12noon.

Results can be collected in person from the sports hall, please enter from the canteen gate and come into the sports hall through the same door you used for your exams.

If you are collecting for someone else you will require written, signed permission from them authorising you to collect them. (If you are not a current student at the school you will also need photo ID).

Art students had a fabulous day in London last week at Tate Britain. They were a credit to us and themselves and took so much from seeing art in real life. We are so excited to see their projects come to life!

Dear Parents and Carers,

Due to the forecast of continuing hot weather and to ensure the health and safety of our students and staff, the school will be closed on Friday 26th June.

The school will reopen on Monday 29th June, and we look forward to welcoming all students back. Please ensure that all pupils attend in full uniform on this day.

We are informing parents and carers that it will be closed to all students on Wednesday 24th June and Thursday 25th June due to a Red Weather Warning for extreme heat, which poses significant health and safety risks, particularly given the building’s limited air-conditioned spaces and high susceptibility to overheating. The warning is expected to end on Thursday evening, with cooler temperatures forecast, so the school will reopen as normal on Friday 26th June. While the school stresses the importance of strong attendance for student success, safety remains the priority, and all students are expected back promptly when the school reopens.

Due to the predicted hot weather over the rest of the week students may wear their PE kit instead of their uniform if they choose to. They should bring a water bottle and suncream as needed.
