Today we awake with sadness in our hearts. Queen Elizabeth II was a mainstay in all our lives.

Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with the royal family and the nation as we mourn the loss of Her Majesty, The Queen, Elizabeth II.

Rest in peace your Majesty.

Our staff team are amazing 🤩 we made it through the hottest day and all our children were so happy and cool 😅

To everybody in Early Years who has struggled on in today’s heat! ☀️
Omg you are Amazing 🙌🏼

To everybody who has soothed and comforted an upset child, their hot little bodies clinging to you and making you feel even hotter - you are incredible 🙌🏼

For everybody whose dripped with ‘perspiration’ SWEAT whilst working, playing and meeting the needs of the children and felt like you were literally going to melt !
You are legendary 🙌🏼

No air, the temperature rising, with possible chaffing thighs ( just me then 😂) and sweaty armpits.
With trickles of sweat running down your back and hair stuck to your head! You just soldiered on 🙌🏼

The day dragged out didn’t it ? Blooming heck it’s been hot 🥵

Early Years you are beyond incredible and from us to you - we salute you! 👏🏼

World Book Day 2022 📖

We have all had a fantastic day here at nursery celebrating World Book Day - there has been a wide variety of fun activities happening over the duration of the day. Also the outfits were brilliant too!
The children have been recreating their favourite stories, building models of the Gruffalo, making porridge and feeding the hungry bear, designing their own book covers and bookmarks and even held their own puppet show!

I think they will all be tired tonight, its been a fun packed day :-)

World Book Day 2021 - we have had such a fun filled day, here is a small selection of some of the costumes the children/staff wore today!

It's Shrove Tuesday - which we all know it better as Pancake Day :-)

So today at Buzy Bee Nursery we have been making pancakes, then held an important discussion on what we would like on top of our pancakes and finally the best part........eating the pancakes - yummy!

Happy Chinese New Year!

The children have been learning all about Chinese New Year this week - they have been listening to stories, learning some key facts, tasting Chinese food and recreating Chinese symbols in glitter. Sounds like the children have been busy!

Christmas Jumper Day 2020.
It was lovely to see all the children and staff wearing their Christmas tops and dresses. We are certainly feeling festive now 🎅🎄😁

Take a look at what Bumble the elf has been up to this week!
She has been decorating the tree with toilet paper, brought us some snow from the north pole, turned the staff into elves, made her own elf spa and joined in with Christmas Jumper day. She has been busy 🤣

This week at Buzy Bee Nursery the children have been getting into the festive spirit, they have been making their very own wishing stars for the Christmas display whilst talking about what they would wish for, enjoying advent chocolate, exploring squishy snowmen sensory bags and painting their own reindeer! They have been busy!!

Meanwhile Bumble the elf has been causing mischief around the nursery, have a look at some of the things she has been up to 🤣

We all had so much fun raising money for Children In Need – we made Pudsey biscuits, we decorated our own Pudsey masks, we even made our own Pudsey ears and we did all this whilst in our pyjamas!

What a great end to the week!

This week at nursery we have been learning about Diwali!

The children have used lentils, beans and sequins to make their own Rangoli patterns in play dough. A Rangoli pattern is a colourful design made on the floor using coloured rice powder throughout Diwali.

We looked at pictures of patterns and we talked about the different colours and shapes. The children used rollers, cutters and stamps to manipulate the dough, adding their choice of decoration. They maintained focus so well and made some beautiful patterns. Well done 😊

For us, the needs of the child and the family come first, we aim to be a partner in the nurture and upbringing of the children and families we care for. So, if you want to do the right things for the right reasons and join a young, fun and energetic team then we want to hear from you.

The successful candidate will:
-Be easy going, able to laugh at jokes (especially bad ones, and those that don't make sense) and not take things too seriously
-Make all children feel special (and the parents too!)
-Happy to sing 'loud and proud', even if you can't sing in tune (preferably not in tune)
-Be imaginative, especially when required to perform the role of a Wrestler, Disney Princess or Shopkeeper
-Be good at hugging and ready to be a very important person to a group of children
-Laugh at going home with random stains on your clothing

The successful candidate will have:
*A minimum qualification of Level 3 or above in childcare
*At least 2 years post qualifying experience
*Passionate about working with children
*A desire to learn and develop

Lest We Forget - 11/11/2020

It's been a spooky, fun filled day at Buzy Bee Nursery today!
The children have dressed up, been creative, played games, made spooky snacks for their party and the amazing staff team also dressed up.
Some of the children shared their pumpkin carving creations with us too!🎃

Welcome back!

We have loved welcoming back our families and we can’t wait to see the rest of our families over the coming weeks!
We had a very successful first day back yesterday, all the children were so happy to return, it was lovely to see.
A big thank you to our the staff team for their hard work and dedication in preparing the nursery before we re-opened. Well done!
