Perryfields pre-school Oldbury

Some photos of the past couple of weeks in pre-school!! We have been so busy fitting in lots of fun and learning. We’re ready for the half term next week, our batteries need recharging already!

Well we’re at the end of the last week of Christmas break ready to return to pre-school!!
We were all super tired and worn out with all the fun we had leading up to the big day so we hope you have all had the break you wanted; whether that be running around visiting friends and family dear to you, days out, or much like myself sitting down and trying to eat your body weight in cheese!
We look forward to seeing the children on Tuesday to hear all about their magical time and we also welcome some new children in January ready to join our pre-school family.
Now remember… January has 2345 days
so plenty of time to fit in lots of fun 🤪

A busy last few weeks leading up to the Christmas countdown!! Here are some pictures of our last activities this year before the glitter and Christmas songs arrived!! Those pictures are on the way once our busy little bees have finished working their artistic magic

PLAYDOUGH!!!
We love playdough at pre-school and the many benefits it has for learning through play. We make all our own playdough, not only does this mean we can make as much as we want when we need it, but the making process alone has lots of opportunity for learning too. We love to invite parents in for many ‘make and play workshops’ and playdough morning is one of our favourites!

We’re at the end of what has hopefully been a relaxing half term for both yourselves and the little ones! We hope if you chose to partake in spooky fun yesterday you had a wonderful time and got some treats 🎃 🍬 🍭 (hopefully no tricks) 👻

This next half term I’m not going to lie is my favourite, because it’s the run up to CHRISTMAS!! 🎄(I can say it now as it’s officially November and acceptable to mention) Lots of crafts, songs, and fun to be had. See you all next week!!

We have so much fun in pre-school!! We pack lots of fun and learning into each and every day and even the smallest activities/games can be a huge learning opportunity for the children!
Here are some photos of some of the things we get up to.
You can see lots of things here that we do to strengthen those finger muscles, an important part of development. From early writing, to holding and gripping a cup/cutlery to opening our own crisps/yoghurt pots and doing our own zips!! Fingers are such an important tool to grow 🖐️

Hello from the perryfields pre-school team!! Apologies for the lack of posts and photos from us over the last few weeks. It seems Facebook is not playing nicely and has trouble sharing (the opposite of what we work really hard on in pre-school 👍🏼) So firstly I would like to share a certificate that the pre-school team were awarded recently. We as staff undertake lots of training, and opportunities to learn and progress whenever we can, to be the best we can be for your children. They deserve to spend their days in an inclusive setting that sees each and every one of them as an individual and have opportunities offered to help them grow. ‘Dingley’s Promise’ is an organisation we have been working with to complete several modules to support children with special educational needs, disabilities and to further extend this help to the families too! We are so pleased to be recognised for this and wanted to share this with you!

It’s almost time to welcome back our returning children and say a big ‘hello and how are you’ to our new starters!! Summer hols are now at an end and we hope you have had a great time recharging and resting (who are we kidding, little people never rest)
We still have some spaces for a September start if your child is aged 3-4yrs old (if they are due to turn 3 this month get in touch we may be able to offer them a place)
We can’t wait to see what the new academic year will bring, but we know it’s going to be full of fun, laughter and maybe some glitter 😝

🎉Graduation day for our children today 🎓

A bittersweet day filled with emotion.
A day to celebrate the amazing progress and determination these little people have achieved.
A day remembering the good times we’ve shared over the year as we send them off to big school.

Hopefully we have achieved our aim of offering them all the opportunities, experiences and fun they so deserve to prepare them for their next chapters. Good luck our little graduates!! you did it 🧑‍🎓👨‍🎓

What a busy few weeks in pre-school, we have had lots of fun from welcoming and caring for our chicks to planting seeds and plants to enjoy both at preschool and home. When the weather picks up a little for what is now supposed to be summer we can watch our flowers growing tall and enjoy even more sunny days outside.
