Yesterday, a group of Y5 children visited London. We had a tour of the Houses of Parliament and a boat trip along the River Thames. We saw many of the capital's landmark sights such as Buckingham Palace and Green Park. We even experienced the hustle and bustle of the London Underground! We were lucky to see police officers on horseback as well as a royal brass band practising for the King's birthday celebrations next week! What a super day!

Children from Year 3 visited Oakham Library this morning (in our new minibus!) to take part in a drama workshop with Curl Girl Productions. They watched a short production, learned some new words from another culture and danced to bhangra music. They also created a short story, together as a group. All the activities linked with learning about the experiences of someone coming to live in our country from another part of the world. The children really enjoyed their morning!
