Today was a big day for our group with RDA assessments for both Tommy and Ann. So pleased to let you all know that both have passed their examinations. We look forward to many years to come with Tommy as our wonderful RDA horse and also Ann as one of our coaches. Thanks so much to Gareth and Jo for coming all the way from Ireland to do the assessments and for all our volunteers that came to help today. Due to weather forecast no driving tomorrow.

This evening I was invited to the Beach Ballroom in Aberdeen to give an informative talk to our supporters St. Nicholas Aberdeen Rotary. The presentation about our group went down really well. Thankfully, after my speech, Mary and Chris Cane joined me on the floor to help with a lovely question and answer session. A good A team!!! I am absolutely delighted to let you all know that St. Nicholas Rotary are supporting us again with a further donation of £5000 and will continue to sponsor us for another year. Huge thanks to President Louise Blakeloch and all the Rotarians.

Yesterday Ann and I were invited to the St. Nicholas Rotary 50th Charter anniversary lunch at the Beach Ballroom in Aberdeen. As many of you know St. Nicholas Rotary are our main supporters for 2026 and will continue to support our group through 2027. Proceeds from the lunch and raffle yesterday are also being donated us. The afternoon was very interesting with speeches from President Louise Blakeloch and District Governor Graham Leith. This was followed by a wonderful lunch and musical entertainment by Lynn and Pete Saunders on Clarsach and Flute. We are so very grateful for the amazing support St. Nicholas Rotary give to our group.

Our Trainee RDA pony Tommy taking part in the Scottish Indoor Carriage Driving Competion at Strathorn on Sunday.

He has been working with other members of the group throughout the winter months and here driven by Coach Karen.

Training is all part of his education to prepare him for his life as an RDA pony.

We are very much looking forward to his 6th birthday in June when he can go forward to be assessed.

He's looking very promising and we hope passes with flying colours.

The pair had one cone down due to driver error but otherwise a great round....

"He's an amazing pony, very willing and responsive but totally safe, I'd happily steal him and take him home with me" Karen said.

Back stepping for the day was Margaret who gave up her time to help.

Thank you to everyone who makes this training possible.

It's all about Teamwork.

It’s a small world!

Who would have thought that the Garioch Group would schedule a meeting of the chairman, the secretary, the treasurer and two of our coaches in a sunny corner of New Zealand this week.

Mary and Chris are staying next door to their son near Wanaka for a few months, and Ann and Alan are on a tour to see family and celebrate a big birthday of Ann’s.

Don’t worry they will all be back at the beginning of the season!

It was a great day yesterday at the RNAS Spring Show, held at Thainstone.

Thank you to Donald, Rachael, Lucy and Ruth for their help and also to Ian Dow from St Nicholas Rotary who came along to support us on the day too.

Our prize hamper was won by Mr & Mrs Porter from Hatton and it was delivered to them earlier today.

With raffle sales and donations we have raised £980.10 for the group.

Thank you to all that gave donations and made this happen.
