What an incredible leavers’ performance to celebrate our Year 6s.

The children sang with such passion, confidence and joy — they were truly outstanding.

Congratulations to our Nurture, Inspire, Achieve, Sportsmanship and Creative Cup winners. Your hard work and character shine through.

We had a fantastic sports day this morning before it got too hot. Thank you to all of our parents who came along — it was lovely to see so many of you there, especially after the last‑minute change in time due to the hot weather.

The children had a wonderful time and showed great enthusiasm throughout.

Welcome back to the final half term of the academic year.

Here are this week’s nurture, inspire and achieve winners — well done for showing our school values so brilliantly.

We have now added a reflection element to our celebration assembly. Four children were chosen to share something they felt proud of this week:

Year 5 – “I am proud of my handwriting because it is neat now, and it used to be scruffy.”
Year 4 – “I am proud because I completed my origami today in English, and I’m not usually very good at art.”
Year 2 – “I am proud because I am now reading chapter books.”
Year 1 – “I am proud because of my handwriting.”

Well done to this week’s Nurture, Inspire and Achieve winners — your hard work and positive attitudes have truly shone.

A big congratulations as well to Team Widgery for earning the most team points this half‑term. They enjoyed some extra playtime this afternoon, along with an ice lolly to help cool off in the sunshine.

The last Forest School session of this academic year was a wonderful celebration before we begin our weekly swimming sessions.

This afternoon, the whole school came together to enjoy a fun‑filled time in our amazing outdoor space. A huge thank‑you to Mrs Blackbird from WildTribe for her enthusiasm, energy, and consistently positive approach in creating such rich outdoor experiences for our children at Lydford.
