Happy New Year to you all! This will be my last post to this page as we have now closed our doors at Occold. We are looking forward to welcoming you at Wetheringsett next week. Unfortunately we have had to make the difficult decision to close our doors at Occold at the end of this term. We have not made this decision lightly and it saddens us that we have not been able to make it the success we hoped it would be. The setting is not financially viable and we have to consider the longevity and sustainability of our business and original nursery in Wetheringsett. We would like to thank everyone for their continued support and understanding. Louise & Whitney.

Today was all about enjoying the sunshine, testing our gross motor skills at the park, using our fine motor skills and hand:eye coordination to build towers and giant domino trails, the boys all engaged in cooperative play, turn taking and sharing (no girls were left out of this post....today was just a boy day 🤷‍♀️)

There is never a dull moment at nursery...travelling with a friend, mark making, early life skills, sand play, celebrating special events. These kiddos are always on the go and experiencing so many learning opportunities as they play.

Things to remember at Halloween 🎃

The child who is grabbing at and taking more than one sweet, may have poor motor skills, or may not understand

The person who looks “too old” to be trick or treating may have a learning disability

The child who doesn’t take anything from the trick or treat bowl may have an allergy

The child who doesn’t say trick or treat may be non verbal

The child who isn’t in a costume may be autistic or have sensory processing disorder and not like the feel of the costume

Be patient, make it fun and be kind
