Happy House Christian Nursery, Oban - Memories After 20 years Happy House closed June 2015. Thanks to everyone who loved and supported the children and staff through the years. Sadly missed.

*5 Years on and still happy memories. We are a voluntary group with charitable status commissioned by the local authority to provide pre-school education for children aged 3 to 5. We have capacity for 22 children each session with the pre-school in the morning (4-5 yrs) and the ante-preschool session (3-4 yrs) in the afternoon. Additionally we can provide private Childcare sessions in the afternoon session for children from 2 and a half to 3. We also run a Parent/Carer and Toddler group for children aged 0 to 3. Our premises is a converted manse with a good sized garden with opportunity to use everyday. The toddler group meets in the adjacent church hall. We are committed to providing a high quality learning experience for every child in our care. our warm and caring staff are committed to building strong relationships with every family and to encourage every child to develop to their full potential. We offer a wide variety of free play experiences for our children with staff supporting them to extend learning as well as planned activities all following the Early Level Outcomes for ‘A Curriculum for Excellence’

Happy House was started over 15 years ago as a response to parents in the town looking for a nursery with a Christian emphasis. That ethos has continued and our aim is that those Christian values are reflected in all that we do. We gradually introduce the children to simple Bible teaching as well as raising children’s awareness to their community and the needs of others. We welcome children and families from all faiths and none and encourage the sharing of children’s experiences of other faith celebrations.

Thank you to everyone who came, helped and contributed to our wonderful Garden party today. We were blessed with a sunny day and the celebration of some wonderful memories. We are so grateful to all the people who worked so hard to make this a special occasion and one we can remember.
