th lights and heating. Outside the children enjoy the exploration, play and discovery our environment has to offer from a mud kitchen, wet wall, loose parts, climbing frames and swings to pine & fruit trees and plants
Inside this lovely old school we have our sunny and bright ‘Baby Room’ with floor to ceiling windows and where the children can join us for play and exploration. The children delight in gazing through the windows; at the twinkling stars in the night sky, the slow pace as the snow flakes drift down in the winter sky, floating leaves as they graze the windows, watch birds nervously feed of the window feeders and enjoy the warm sunshine as it radiates through the room they can roam into the nursery garden and soft play area too and gaze at our wonderful cherry trees in bloom. A large bright ‘Toddler Room’ for our c2 to 3 years old, where they enjoy exploring and playing in this wonderful space a fresh bright room with large windows and a door that flows to the outside areas. Supporting confidence and independence they are guided every step of the way by our caring and loving practitioners - encouraged to flow outside or enjoy the various activities and areas in our hub from secret dens to cosy corners to soft play or games/ books/ and discovery and exploration being the key part of this room as they prepare to move on in preparation for pre-school. The main building houses our Pre-School rooms and kitchen and toilets and where our children from 3 to 5 years old enjoy a large selection of activities, resources and free play, inside or out in the garden and on swings or with loose parts and mud kitchen and in the soft play on wheeled toys or climbing frames or swing or planting and sand and mud and growing food and plants and and learning important social skills to play and explore alongside their friends in a happy and responsive way to interact with adults and look to them in confidence for support and guidance. Outside we have a large garden currently with a boat, swings, mud kitchen, play areas, loose parts, a climbing tower and slide, water wall and lots more and where the children learn about the wonders of the outdoors and enjoy freedom and space to grow. We offer Elc Funded Sessions for all children from 2 - 5 years and these can be tailer meet to suit the needs of the families and can be used to wraparound the 6 hour slots that are funded - included from August is a free home cooked meal by our cook Karen and we also offer milk and fruit and either breakfast or tea if required too. Full day sessions run from 8am to 6pm and the nursery is open throughout the year, closing only for two weeks at Christmas / New Year and for bank and public holidays.
