Here are a few photos of some unusual daffodils at quite stunning, a few have been feasted on by the slugs. It is such a wonderful time of year waiting on the bulbs you planted in the autumn come into flower not knowing which ones they are ( because I have forgotten 😂)

M for Marjoram a wonderful tasty herb

I used it with my monkfish wrapped in Parma ham a delicious meaty fish on a bed of puy lentils. It is hard to believe that monkfish was used for scampi.
If you are not keen on fish this is a great one to try as it is quite firm in texture.

The letter L from my spice cupboard.

Lemon grass is a wonderful super tasty addition to Thai dishes. You can buy it dried or even better fresh is best.

I used it in last weeks dishes and this super tasty smoked haddock chowder, it is just fun experimenting with flavours. 😊

Has anyone made any new creations?

The Letter J in my Spice Cupboard

Lovely Juniper berries and the first food that pops into my head is venison yum. I made a super tasty sauce infused with these fragrant berries with a little help from some brambles I had in my freezer. The venison loin is on a bed of creamy celeriac with heritage carrots, cavolo nero and hasselback potatoes a super healthy meal. Thank you to for the wonderful venison. All the vegetables were grown in the UK and made up quite a lot of my five a day.😊

Letter H in my Spice Cupboard Challenge

The spice I used tonight is a hot one 😂 Hot Chilli powder. I made a pasta dish with a spicy chilli tomato sauce. It is quite relaxing making home made pasta and it tastes so much better. Chillies are a very good source of vitamin C which is good to know.

My other dish is one I made a few weeks back Spicy Cod with Chickpeas. It had harissa paste in it which is also hot chilli based with other wonderful spices, use sparingly as it has a bit of a kick.
