Welcome Back!

Welcome back to all our wonderful children, families and staff! We hope you have all had a lovely summer break and enjoyed some well-deserved time together.

We are so excited to begin a new school year and to see the children back in school, ready for another year of learning, growing and making memories together.

There is so much to look forward to this year, and we can’t wait to see every child's achievements, progress, and successes.

We are excited to show you our new lunch menu starting in September! As previously messaged, we have changed our catering company who offer a wider variety of meals with more veggie, vegan and now a Halal option. Children who prefer a packed lunch can use the "fill your lunchbox" service, selecting a balanced combination of starchy food, a protein source and at least one portion of fruit or vegetables from the counter.

The video below shows how you can order your child's meal via ParentPay. Alternatively, children can now go back to ordering in the classroom at registration.

Today we said goodbye to our amazing Year 6 children as they celebrated their final day at Oakworth Primary School. 💙

It has been a privilege to watch them grow into kind, confident and resilient young people who are ready for the exciting adventures that lie ahead. While we're sad to see them leave, we know they will go on to achieve wonderful things, and we couldn't be prouder of everything they have accomplished during their time with us.

You will all be greatly missed, and everyone at Oakworth wishes you the very best as you begin the next chapter of your journey. Remember, you will always be part of the Oakworth family. 🌟

A huge thank you to all of the staff who worked so hard behind the scenes to make today's celebrations so special. From the leavers' assembly to the fun activities and final send-off, your time, care and dedication gave our Year 6 children memories they will treasure for years to come.

Good luck, Year 6 – keep believing in yourselves, work hard, be kind, and never stop aiming high. We can't wait to hear about all of your future successes! 💙🎓

📚 A huge thank you to Mrs Owen and our wonderful Year 5 children for helping to sort and package some of our older books to donate to the Gambian Schools Trust. 🌍❤️

Their hard work has not only supported schools in The Gambia but has also helped us make space for our fantastic new KS2 reading scheme, which we're excited to introduce in September.

We can't wait to share more information about our new reading resources soon – watch this space! 📖✨
