MEET THE TUTOR! 👨‍🏫

My name is Jordan Arthur and I am an experienced primary school teacher, currently teaching a Year 5 class. I began my teaching journey as a TA working in Rutland, before completing my training and moving to my current school.

In my third year of teaching, I became maths subject lead, and have for the past few years supported in offering maths booster sessions after school in my current occupation. With a background in journalism and a strong grammatical subject knowledge, I am keen to support learners in developing a greater confidence in these subject areas, which in itself will enable them to achieve greater results moving forward!

Outside of my profession, I enjoy sports such as football and have coached in the local area previously.

I look forward to getting to know and supporting as many of you as I can on your journey towards SATs and secondary school! 😊🎓

Welcome to Bright Minds Rutland Tutoring! 🧠💫

Created by a local primary school teacher, Bright Minds Rutland Tutoring aims to support 8-11 year-old learners to boost their confidence, engagement and exam technique in preparation for SATs and secondary school entrance exams.

Offering face-to-face hourly tutoring sessions, I will support learners in the Oakham, Stamford and Rutland area in developing skills in maths and English, with a focus on tailoring my sessions not only to the needs of your children, but to their interests to both support them and achieve greater engagement. Bright Minds Rutland Tutoring offers regular feedback to parents and learners, as well as a free trial session to see what support I can offer.

Sessions will be run on Tuesdays and Fridays, between 17:00 and 19:30. Due to teaching commitments, there will be limited availability of sessions, but I hope to be able to support as many keen learners as possible on their SATs journey.
