Over the Summer break, 64 of our Gold DofE students headed to the Lake District for their qualifying expedition. Walking for an average of nine hours each day, they tackled challenging peaks, carried everything they needed and embraced the full wild camping experience.
Our expedition providers, Sam Sykes, were full of praise for the group, describing them as exceptionally polite and one of the most capable cohorts they have ever supported. A fantastic achievement for all involved.

We are celebrating another year of outstanding A level results with over 30% of all grades awarded at A*/A and almost 90% at A*-C.

There has also been an increase in the number of students achieving the very top grades, with 32 students achieving the equivalent of AAA

Marcus Penchev, Student (AAA) said, “I have had an amazing two years at Harington School, I am so happy with my results and cannot wait to take up my place at The University of Warwick to study Automative Engineering. I have had some fantastic experiences at Harington such as taking part in Greenpower, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Gold Award and various Trips and visits. I have made friendships that I am sure will last a life time.”

Once again students are leaving Harington to study at some of the top universities in the UK.

Matthew Rose, Student (BBC) who is studying at The Guildhall School of Music and Drama said, “The best thing about Harington School is the strong sense of community. Staff and students work together to develop you as a whole person. Over the past two years I have grown in confidence and I have loved the opportunities on offer such as the music groups and sports teams.

A fantastic start to the 2026 season for our Harington Greenpower Team at Blyton Park.
Competing in their first race of the year, our students secured an impressive 4th and 6th place finishes in their category, completing 29.67 km in their newly liveried electric cars – all with zero carbon emissions.
These excellent results put the team in a strong position as they continue their quest to qualify for the International Final at Goodwood this October. Next stop: Mallory Park in September.
Congratulations to everyone involved! We are incredibly proud of the team’s hard work, innovation and teamwork.
A huge thank you to our sponsors, Heidelberg Materials and Tim Norton, for their continued support in helping make this possible.
