Introducing our new Sport Ambassadors: Erin, Hannah, Ruby, Owen, Libby, Paige, Grace, George, Maizie, Harriet, Theo, Sophie, Ava and Sofia. They lead by example through their commitment, teamwork and passion for sport. This year, they will play an important role in promoting participation, encouraging wellbeing and supporting an active, inclusive student community.

This year’s Open Evening was a fantastic success, with explosive classroom demonstrations, musical performances, and a presentation from the Principal, Stuart Williams. Our enthusiastic staff and students were on hand to answer questions and provide tours of our outstanding facilities. More families than ever before joined us to find out more about life at Catmose, the trips and visits on offer and our transition programme to help students settle in. If you were unable to make our Open Evening and would like to book a tour, please email [email protected].

Our annual ‘My Future Careers Fayre’ welcomed 34 organisations to College, including employers, training providers, and volunteering groups! Students explored a wide range of career and education options, with interactive stands and engaging conversations.

Year 7 recently headed to Boughton Woods for a day of bushcraft, taking on team challenges, fire lighting, camouflage and first aid.

They finished the day by putting their new skills to the test in a simulated emergency – rescuing College staff from a staged plane crash in the woods!

A fantastic start to the term for the Catmose Equestrian Team!
Ava, Teagan, Eira and Minnie represented Catmose at their first show jumping competition, with some brilliant results:
• Eira qualified for the 80–85cm Regional Championships
• Ava, Teagan and Eira qualified for the 90–95cm Regional Championships
• Teagan and Ava qualified for the 1m–1.05m Regional Championships
A huge well done to the girls and their horses.

After a successful year for our sports teams, we are looking forward to the new academic year. Term 1 sees our netball and football teams competing against local secondary schools, and we wish them every success. If you’re interested in the sporting opportunities available at Catmose College, including our sport scholarship programme, we invite you to attend our Open Evening on Wednesday 30 September, from 5.00pm to 7.30pm, where staff will be available to share more about how students can get involved.

Another fantastic year for Performing Arts at Catmose College!
Our students enjoyed a busy year of Music and Drama, including the Christmas and Spring Music Concerts, Drama Festival and a student-led performance of Blood Brothers by our Year 10 and 11 students.
Our sell-out production of Grease was another highlight, before our Year 7 students rounded off the year with their performances of songs from Hercules.
There’s plenty more to look forward to this year, with Shrek in March and our Year 7 performance of songs from Oliver! in July.
