We are a small Voluntary Aided Primary School with 144 children
aged between 4 - 11 yrs old on roll.

We are very proud of our school, enjoy being part of an active and
friendly community and welcome children and parents of all faiths, or none.

Year 6 have had a fantastic last week of term with their play, Leavers’ Mass and Affirmations, plus amazing SATs results. We are very proud of everything they have achieved whilst at English Martyrs and we know they will shine at secondary school. Good luck Year 6!

We had a fantastic morning for our KS1 Sports Day! A huge well done to all the children who showed courage and confidence throughout. Thank you to the staff and parents for supporting!

Year 3 have had an amazing couple of days away at Fenland Adventure for their residential! They took part in lots of fun activities, had a much needed water fight and managed to keep cool in the shade. A huge thank you to the staff who accompanied them. Fenland Adventure

From our Colour Dash event last month, we raised an incredible £2,544 for Lifting Children’s Hopes (LCH)! The children were very excited to receive their prizes yesterday. A huge thank you to everyone for their generous donations! LCH Charity

What a brilliant KS2 sports day we have had! Our children embraced the challenge of competing in the heat and showed incredible resilience, determination and team spirit throughout the morning, as did the parents who kindly supported! Thank you to year 5 for their delicious scones!

A huge congratulations to some of our children who were nominated for sports awards at the Rutland School Sports Partnership Awards last night! Our hockey, new age kurling and level 4 gymnastics teams were all nominated for the Best Primary Team 2026. A special mention to William who was nominated for the Sporting Talent award and Mrs B who was nominated for the Unsung Hero award. As a school, we were also presented with the Fair Play trophy after being nominated by another school for showing great sportsmanship across the year. Well done to all of the children who have taken part in sports activities this year! Rutland SSP Riks
