Last day of school teaching for this academic year and it was an emotional one. I had last lessons with year sixes who are moving up to secondary school and another student who is moving schools. I absolutely did not hold it together!

I’ve got to know the kids over a few years and watched them grown and blossom and I am beyond proud of them all. I was treated to beautiful cards, thoughtful presents, a heartfelt letter and even a song and the tears did flow! 😭

It’s such an honour to be even a tiny part of these students’ journeys. To know I’ve been able to give them skills, knowledge or confidence that they can take out into the world is just the best reminder of why I do what I do.

I love my job! And all my wonderful students! But I may need to rest just a bit before I dive back in 🤪 😴 🎹 🎤 🎵

🌸 ☀️ SUMMER STUDENT SHOW ☀️ 🌸

What an incredible night of performances! Once again my students braved the spotlight and stepped up to perform in front of a packed room of family and friends. The weather was perfect for a summer show (if a little warm) and everybody shone as bright as the sun, displaying awesome talent and hard work!
