✨ What a wonderful first week back at Launde Primary! ✨

It has been such a joy to welcome all of our children back to school this week. Classrooms have been filled with smiles, excitement and lots of opportunities to reconnect with friends and make new ones.

Across the school, every class has been taking part in the first week of our 'Belonging' project. Over these two weeks, children will be spending time getting to know one another, building strong relationships and exploring what helps each of us feel valued, included and part of our school community. We believe that every child should feel that they truly belong at Launde, and it has been wonderful to see these conversations and activities already taking place.

Thank you to our families for helping us make such a positive start to the new school year. We are looking forward to seeing our children continue to grow in confidence and friendship over the coming weeks.

🌞 A reminder that school is closed on Monday for the Bank Holiday. We hope everyone enjoys a lovely three-day weekend and we look forward to welcoming all of our pupils back on Tuesday 1st September.

🌟 A Big Welcome from the Reception Team! 🌟

It has been wonderful meeting all of our new Reception children and families over the last two days. Thank you for taking the time to come and see us. We are already so excited about the year ahead!

Tomorrow is a very special day as the children begin their half-day sessions, and we can't wait to welcome them back into school. 😊

We know that first-day memories are ones to treasure, so there will be an opportunity for you to take a 'First Day' selfie with your child before drop-off tomorrow morning. These moments are so important to capture and keep as a special memento of the start of their school journey.

We look forward to seeing lots of smiling faces tomorrow! 💙📸

🥐 Breakfast Meetings at School 🥐
To help welcome everyone into school and support families in feeling part of their child's class and year group, we are delighted to be hosting a series of Breakfast Meetings this year.

We would like to invite one parent or carer to join their child for breakfast in the school hall. Families will be able to enjoy a croissant, pastry or fruit together, whilst also having the opportunity to meet the year group teachers, chat with other parents and carers, and get to know the wider year group community.

Please see the attached poster for the date of your child's year group breakfast meeting.

There is no need to book. Simply come along and enjoy breakfast with your child. We are also pleased to share that breakfast will be provided by our new catering partner, Vertas.

Due to space limitations and to ensure the safety and comfort of everyone attending, we ask that only one parent or carer attends with each child. Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate younger siblings at these events.

Reception parents and carers, please note that a breakfast meeting for Reception children will be arranged later in the term, once the children have settled into school routines. Further information will be shared nearer the time.

If you are unable to attend, please do not worry. Your child will still enjoy breakfast in the hall with their friends and teachers and will be fully included in the event.

We look forward to welcoming you into school and beginning the year together.

🌟 Tomorrow is the start of a brand new school year and we are very much looking forward to welcoming all of our children and families back to school.
You will notice some big changes on site, as work has started on our wonderful new dining hall. This is an exciting development for the future of our school, but it does mean that the pathway from the Uplands Road entrance is currently a little more restricted than normal.
We would be grateful if everyone could take extra care when walking along this route, particularly near the construction gates, and watch out for the black and yellow fence supports on the ground.

🏫✨ Over the past two days, our staff team have been busy preparing classrooms, organising resources and making sure everything is ready for a fantastic start to the new term.

We can't wait to welcome all of our pupils back on Monday 24th August at 8:30am and are looking forward to seeing everyone again.

📚 Reception Families: New Reception parents and children will attend their parent meeting on either Monday or Tuesday, before we welcome our newest learners into school for their first half-day on Wednesday.

📚☀️ Ready for a New School Year! ☀️📚

We hope all of our children and families have had a wonderful summer break and enjoyed the glorious weather we've been lucky enough to have! 🌞

As the holidays draw to a close, we are looking forward to welcoming everyone back to Launde Primary School and hearing all about your summer adventures.

If you're busy getting organised this week, please take a moment to check our uniform and PE kit expectations . Helping children arrive in the correct uniform ensures they are ready to learn and feel part of our school community from day one.

🕣 School reopens at 8:40am on Monday 24th August.

If your child is moving to a new classroom and you're unsure where to go, don't worry. Mrs Meer, Mrs Pallett and Mrs Johnston will be on the playground to welcome families and help direct children to their new classrooms.

🌟 A bright future! 🌟

Launde Primary School in Oadby is celebrating a fantastic Ofsted outcome, meeting the Expected Standard in every area inspected. Inspectors praised the school's strong achievement, ambitious curriculum and inclusive culture, describing pupils as "justifiably proud of their vibrant school."

Adding to the celebrations, the school has also secured £2.7 million in funding for major improvements, helping to create an even better environment for pupils for years to come.

🌟 That's a Wrap on Another Amazing Year at Launde Primary School! 🌟

As we come to the end of another incredible school year, we would like to take a moment to thank all of our families for your ongoing support, encouragement and partnership. Together, we have celebrated successes, overcome challenges and created countless happy memories.

We are so proud of every one of our pupils for their hard work, resilience and achievements throughout the year. They continue to amaze us each and every day.

A special mention must go to our wonderful Year 6 pupils as they prepare to leave us for the next stage of their journey. We are incredibly proud of the young people they have become and all they have achieved during their time at Launde. While we will miss them greatly, we know they are ready for the exciting opportunities ahead. We wish them every success, happiness and confidence as they begin their new adventures at secondary school. 🌟

This year we also say farewell to three valued members of our staff team – Miss Tobin, Miss Johnson and Mr Pentony. We would like to thank them for their dedication, commitment and the positive impact they have had on the children and our school community. We wish them all the very best for the future and every success in their next chapters. 💙

Finally, thank you to all of our parents, carers, governors and wider community for being such an important part of school life.
