🌟 Pupil leadership in action at Launde! 🌟

We’re incredibly proud that all 7 of our Community Envoys have the opportunity to take the lead on our school tours, giving prospective families the chance to see Launde through the eyes of our pupils.

Yesterday, two of our Year 6 Community Envoys did just that and received fantastic feedback. We were thrilled to hear that“Launde surpassed my expectations”, with our pupils praised for being“funny, confident and informative” and described as“a real credit to the school.” 💙💚

What a brilliant example of our pupils representing their school with confidence and pride. And an amazing 10/10 for the tour! ⭐️👏

Today has been another very exciting day for OPAL. Thank you to all the amazing Mums, Dads, Grandmas and Grandads who gave up their time this morning and helped us to create more OPAL play equipment. We now have a new mud kitchen, a chess board, and a play car. We have almost finished a track for the children to play cars and a pirate ship!

It was lovely to welcome parents and carers into school to spend quality time with their children, enjoying delicious treats, conversations, and special moments together. The smiles, laughter, and excitement throughout the afternoon made it a truly memorable occasion.

🌾💛 Our Amazing Community Envoys Visit Oadby Food Bank! 💛🌾

Today, our Community Envoys had the privilege of visiting Oadby Food Bank, and we could not be prouder of them! They were described as a credit to Launde Primary School, and they certainly lived up to that praise.

The children worked alongside volunteers Lesley and Michael, helping to sort and organise all of the generous Harvest Festival donations collected from our wonderful Launde families. Their enthusiasm, kindness and willingness to help made a real difference.

During the visit, the children listened carefully and learned all about how a food bank operates and the vital support it provides to individuals and families within our local community. They asked thoughtful questions, showed great respect and were eager to help throughout.

We are so proud of how helpful, polite and engaged our Community Envoys were. They represented our school values brilliantly and demonstrated what it means to care for and support others.

A huge thank you to Lesley, Michael and everyone at Oadby Food Bank for welcoming us and sharing such an important learning experience with our children.

📢🌟 Every Day Counts is Back! 🌟📢

Last week, we launched our Everyday Counts attendance challenge, and we're delighted to share that several classes have already started collecting letters! 🎉

Every class earns one letter each week they achieve 97% attendance or above. By working together and attending school every day possible, classes can collect letters and work towards some exciting rewards throughout the year!

🏃 Reward 1: Complete the phrase and earn 15 minutes of extra playtime 🎬 Reward 2: Complete the phrase again and enjoy a movie afternoon 👕 Reward 3: Complete the phrase for a third time and choose your own non-uniform/theme day

👏 Congratulations to all the classes that have already gained letters so far

Thank you to all our families for your continued support. Good attendance helps children make the most of their learning, build friendships and develop confidence. Every day really does count! 💙
