With the recent spell of warm weather and higher temperatures forecast over the coming days, we would like to remind families of the importance of ensuring that children come to school prepared for the heat.

Staying hydrated is essential for children's health, wellbeing, and ability to concentrate in class. We therefore ask that all pupils bring a refillable water bottle to school each day. Water refill stations are have been installed on the playground, allowing children to top up their bottles regularly.

To help keep children safe and comfortable during the warmer weather, we would also appreciate your support in:

🥤Providing a refillable water bottle every day.
☀️Applying sunscreen before school, where appropriate.
🧢Sending your child with a sun hat or cap for outdoor activities.

We will contact parents/carers in advance, if forecast is very high temperatures, to make adaptations to the uniform and ensure pupils are more comfortable in the heat. Thank you for your continued support in helping us keep all children healthy, safe, and ready to learn during the warmer weather.

Celebrating our new Head Students for 2026/27 🎉✨

We are delighted to announce that Sienna and Freddie have been appointed as our new Head Students for the next academic year.

During their time at Higham Lane School, Sienna and Freddie have truly resembled our ‘Work Hard, Be Kind and Take Responsibility’ values. They are fantastic role models for our student body, and we are incredibly proud of them.

We look forward to seeing what they and the rest of the Junior Leadership Team will accomplish!

🏆⚽️ World Cup Breakfast ⚽️🏆

During the World Cup we will be moving our free breakfast service to Coombe Hall so that students can watch highlights of the World Cup games from 8:15am-8:35am every morning!
