We were extremely fortunate to have been joined by one of our ex students, Harry Panter this morning who spoke to Years 8, 9 and 10 and our Year 12 IT students about his journey from school to become the CEO of Housr, one of the UK's largest student rental and living platforms and one of the fastest growing higher education focused tech companies expanding into the US. Harry spoke about how the skills required to be successful in business are just as useful in the classroom. Our students left the talk motivated to succeed and we are looking forward to seeing more of our students become successful business people in the future!

Some of our Year 9 students enjoyed an inspiring visit to The Youth Manufacturing Summit at The Manufacturing Technology Centre in Ansty on Friday. They found out about the vast range of career opportunities in the Engineering and Manufacturing sector and took part in an array of activities from coding to programme robots to building a self-propelled car. They also networked with apprentices and employers and got hands on with some of the technology they use in the workplace. Thanks to the MTC for organising such a fantastic event.
