Exploring SEND in School (online training)

SENDIAS Advisors are offering advice to Warwickshire families with a child who has or may have special educational needs and disabilities(SEND).

This training is suitable for parents/carers who are looking for practical tips on navigating SEND support.

The Department for Education have shared information about the impact of attendance. At our Nursery School we set high expectations about regular attendance to establish consistent routines and access a high quality early years education.

At Stockingford Maintained Nursery School Children and Families Centre Barnardo’s offers Baby time sessions on Mondays at 9.30am. This gives your child the opportunity to socialise and develop awareness of others and will support transitions to our Nursery School.

When your child has an outburst or acts defiantly, it could be that they don't quite have the words to express themselves yet. That's when their big emotions can morph into a tantrum! 😮‍💨 By talking to your little one about how they feel and what they want, you're building their vocabulary so they can tell you ❤️

Next week is and Warwickshire Parent Carer Voice are holding a series of free online sessions for anyone with an interest in supporting neurodivergent children and young people:

Also, on 18 March at 12.30pm, WPCV will be joining representatives from the SEND and Inclusion team at Warwickshire County Council to introduce Warwickshire's SEND and Inclusion Strategy 2024-2029 which will include an opportunity for parents and carers to ask any questions about the strategy.
