🎆Bonfire night! 🎇

The children at Nuffy bear Nursery have been exploring colourful activities in honour of Bonfire Night, the babies explored firework oobelck and the toddlers have been exploring oil and water to create their own fireworks in the jug. They then had the opportunity to create beautiful colourful photos using pipe cleaners! What a wonderful day 😀

🍁Autumnal Activities🍂🍄

At Nuffy Bear we have been exploring lots of Autumnal activities this month! The children in the baby room have been exploring the pumpkin seed oobelck and fine motor pumpkin threading and Toddlers and Pre - School have been exploring cinnamon scented playdough and vegetable stamping creating their own pumpkin pictures!

🕎Diwali🐻

The children have been learning all about Diwali this morning, we have been exploring colorful sensory trays, making our own tealight holders and creating our own colorful pictures. The children enjoyed reading the book on Diwali and learning about how our friends celebrate!

🦖 Playdough! 🦖

The children in Nuffy Bear Nursery are given access to playdough daily, playdough is amazing for enhancing children's fine and gross motor skills which is a key development factor for the children to learn to write. Playdough encourages imagination and enables the children to learn how to share with their peers whilst exploring the different sensory feelings. Toddlers and Pre-school share a permanent playdough area where they're given access to a variety of home made playdough with different senses for example, cinnamon and sand!

🌱🍃 Our Garden 🌿🍂

The practitioners had a think about how we can enable our outdoor area to make it more inviting to the children, we thought about the things they enjoy the most and the developmental gaps they have. Take a look at our new garden areas for the children to enjoy! We cant wait to start reading stories in the Hideout and watching their kicking skills develop in the goal!🐻

🐻 Meet the team🐻

Charlotte is our Nursery Deputy Manager; Charlotte has been working here since June and is Level 3 Qualified in Early Years and Pediatric First Aid. Charlotte has a passion for child development and supporting staff development!
Charlotte is soon to be Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead for the setting and she is queen of our social media. Charlotte is working hard to support our baby room currently whilst getting to grips with office tasks to help the manager whenever time allows. Thank you for all you do Charlotte. 🎨Paint In Babies🎨

The children in the baby room have been exploring the art easel and the paint; they explored lots of different colours and had access to different painting tools. The babies enjoyed painting their beautiful pictures and some of the children had a try at naming the colours! after this activity the staff members extended the learning by reading the colours book!

🐋🐚Sea Creatures 🐙🐬

This morning, we have been exploring sandy playdough with the sea creatures. The children practiced isolating their fingers and pushing the different sea creatures into the playdough to see what shapes they made and used different tools to create patterns in the sand. The children tried rolling tiny balls to create pretend pearls to put inside our shells then later the children had a go at writing different letters in the sand with their fingers. It has been lovely to see the children developing and practicing their literacy and fine motor skills though sensory play 🐚

Amelie has been working at the Nursery since April, She works in the Toddler room and is Level 3 Qualified! Amelie is amazing at setting up activities that align with the children's interests as well doing lots of baking with the children. Thank you for your hard work Amelie!

🥕🌽 Harvest Festival🥕🍆

The children celebrated Harvest Festival on Friday, this Festival is a celebration of a successful harvest and the abundance of food it provides, offering thanks for nature's generosity and honoring the work of farmers! the children explored different types of vegetables and practiced their cutting skills and all worked together to make a vegetable pie! They then used the different vegetables to create different textured art work. What a brilliant day!
