Here at Higham Lane School Sixth Form we focus on students as individuals and believe that an educated person is more than a set of qualifications. Our Sixth Form offers an extensive range of academic courses, as well as many extra-curricular and enrichment opportunities. The friendly, dedicated and studious environment is coupled with a strong community spirit, allowing students to meet new people and establish lasting friendships.

It was lovely to celebrate with Year 13 at their Leavers' event today, including the first ever Year 13 Awards ceremony. Students and staff then enjoyed ice cream, pizza and fun on the inflatables. We are so proud of all our Year 13 students and we wish them all every success in their futures. We look forward to celebrating with them further on Friday night at their prom.

Sixth Formers enjoyed a brilliant Culture Day today, with many choosing to dress in cultural clothes. We also had a food sale at break and lunch with a range of food from different cultures on offer.

What a great day in Oxford with Year 12. We looked around Keble and Hertford Colleges, had a chance to talk with University staff and students, and had some free time to explore the City and sample the famous G and D's ice cream!

After weeks of preparation and a very early start, a team of our Sixth Form students are competing in the Bar Mock Trial Competition National Final at the Royal Courts of Justice today.
The competition aims to give young people an unparalleled insight into the judicial system, its venues and the work of senior legal professionals.
Best of luck to them at what will be an exciting and inspiring event!

Back on the coach on the way back to school after a morning at the Geneva Science Museum and a boat trip on the lake. ETA back at school is 8.40pm. Thanks to for their help organising the trip.
