Today we were awarded a 5 in our Food Hygiene inspection! 😁

This week in Toddler room, we have been exploring one of our favourite interests within the room....VEHICLES 🚚🚔🚗🚙

We have taken part in lots of different activities through the week. Exploring all the different types of vehicles eg. Constructions and cars.

We have took part in lots of creative activities eg. Using the cars to create patterns with different colours. Using our turn taking skills to share amongst our friends. We have also had lots of messy tray activities to explore the different types of vehicles in more detail and for the children understand the roles and different sounds they make.

We have also used our imagination with out roleplay which we have transformed into a car garage where the children have pretended to be mechanics and to fix our nursery cars🛞🚘🔧. They have done an amazing job 😊!!!

Recently at Little Achievers we have celebrated World Ocean day 🌊
The babies took part in exciting water play, they explored the warm bubbly water tray filled with sea creatures, they tried using the pipettes as shown by their adults to suck up and squeeze out the water. We enjoyed splashing, washing the animals and enjoyed the sensory experience 🙂 we sang “i had a little turtle 🐢” and used words such as “splash”

Our preschoolers enjoyed a hands on ocean themed activity filled with Shells and sea treasures, Painting and collage making as a team, Ocean animal stencils and crafts and Stories where we were able to discus life under the sea🫧
The children had a wonderful time joining in to create their very own sea inspired artwork poster as we spoke about our animals that live in our oceans, from sharks and turtles to whales and crabs 🦀 🐬🐢🐋
The children were given the opportunity to understand the world around us which is ever so important to help them take care of our planet. Our children learnt about keeping the oceans clean through speaking about the dangers of littering, why recycling our rubbish is so important, as well as having a good look at our marine life. 🐠🐡🐬🦐🐙

🌟 Learning Through Play and Problem Solving 🌟

Our children put their thinking skills to the test as they worked together to move and position tyres around our outdoor area. 🚜🛞

Using their strength, coordination and teamwork, the children explored different ways to lift, roll and fit the tyres into place. This hands-on activity encouraged problem-solving, perseverance and communication as they shared ideas and supported one another.

These experiences help develop confidence, resilience and critical thinking skills while having lots of fun outdoors! We love seeing the children challenge themselves, work together and celebrate their achievements together. 💛

This week our focus topic in toddler room has been ✨✨Our environment 🌍✨✨

Throughout the week, we have been learning all about our environment and ways to protect it through lots of activities based round all areas of learning.

We started the week of by watching a small video all about recycling and ways of helping to protect our environment♻️. We have had some creative activities such as collaging our very own earths to add into our role play area and we have also spoke about reusing all the different recycled materials to make and create with. We used the yogurt pots and plastic cups etc to paint with and create our own pictures 🫟🎨

We have made our very own recycling centre in the role play area, where the children have loved working together to recycle all the different materials such as plastics, paper and cardboard into the different boxes. We even went on a litter in the garden and spoke about how it is not nice to litter and we should always put our rubbish into the bin 😊

We have had so much fun together 🥰🥰!!

Following on from our Pre schools interest of Dinosaurs, Little achievers have had a brilliant blast from the past !!
We have absolutely loved our different activities and learning opportunities throughout the week through learning all about fossils, creating our very own 3D dino crafts,🫟🎨 exploring some dinosaur play dough where we used our fine motor skills to stomp on some foot prints and had so much fun being philosophers as we played through mud to find our hidden dinosaurs! This was a great way to incorporate messy play and was a lovely way to unite all of our children together as we discussed dinosaur facts speaking about their habitats and what they eat 🦖
All of our children have had such a Roarsome time as we thoroughly enjoyed our activities as a whole.😆
