Throughout June, we’ve been celebrating Pride across our campuses, promoting inclusion and support for the LGBTQ+ community.

At our Hinckley campus, we were proud to welcome Hinckley Pride and the Leicester LGBTQ+ Centre — giving students the chance to learn, connect, and celebrate together. 💙

From apprentice to entrepreneur!

Lawrence turned his passion into a career through a Level 3 Powered Access apprenticeship at NWSLC—gaining hands-on skills and industry knowledge.

Midway through his course, he launched his own company, now running 70 machines, employing staff, and expanding fast.

His advice? Start at the bottom, stay committed, and the opportunities will come. 💪

This year’s exhibition branding has been designed by our HND Graphic Design students.

Yesterday, we celebrated our incredible team members who have been with us for 20 years or more with a special afternoon tea.

We honoured a staggering 112 staff who have racked up a jaw-dropping 2,864 years of combined service.

Their commitment is the heartbeat of our success, and we're endlessly grateful for their hard work and dedication.💚

We recently had some special visitors to our student centres!

This was a great opportunity for students to learn about accessibility, independence, and the amazing work of guide dogs. 💛

New Supported Internship Opportunity with ASDA Magna Park.

Looking to gain real workplace experience and build the skills, confidence and independence needed for employment?

NWSLC is offering a unique Supported Internship programme with ASDA Magna Park. Unlike traditional Supported Internships, this opportunity is open to young people who do not have an EHCP.

A Supported Internship is a college programme delivered in the workplace. Learners are based at ASDA Magna Park, gaining real work experience while completing learning and development activities designed to support their transition into employment. Dedicated Job Coaches provide support throughout the programme.
