🖌️ Taste safe painting in the baby room🖌️

In the baby room, we've noticed a growing enthusiasm for creative messy play!

The children have been having a wonderful time exploring taste-safe paint made from yoghurt, food colouring, and fruit. 🍒🍓🍇🍎

This fun activity is not only enjoyable but also supports the development of their fine motor skills as they experiment with making different marks using rollers, paintbrushes, and their hands!

World Book Day 2025🌎📚❤️

We've had an amazing day at Arbury celebrating World Book Day! The children and staff really enjoyed dressing up as their favourite characters and sharing beloved books.

We participated in lots of engaging activities based on stories like Monkey Puzzle and Goldilocks and the Three Bears. It was a wonderful way to explore our love for reading!

We are inviting all children to dress up as their favourite characters for World Book Day on the 6th March!

We can’t wait to see all of your amazing costumes!

The toddlers have been exploring different exotic fruit! We explored our touch and taste senses. We were encouraged to feel the fruit and the skins of each fruit and then came the fun part… chopping the fruit and tasting it! We enjoyed exploring pineapple, kiwi, grapefruit, lemon, strawberry . Delicious 😋 🍓🍋🍍

Toddlers today have shown great friendships in the garden. We offered our hand of support in helping each other with our risky play. This was such a wholesome moment to have observed! In the toddler room we focus skill on friendships.
We aim to support each other and developing understanding of how fulfilling it is to be helpful, supportive, empathetic, and kind. These are all vital characteristics that we seek out in our own friendships, so we want to emphasize these qualities so they can develop these friendships and the skills needed. 🥰👦🧒🤝

🎨🖌️ Creativity in the toddler room!🖌️🎨

Recently, the toddlers have thoroughly enjoyed expressing their creativity! 🎨 They have participated in a variety of activities aimed at developing their fine motor skills, including gluing, sticking, drawing, mark making, and crafting!

The children have talked about the different colours they observed and shared their thoughts on the various things they have been drawing and creating, which has led to some wonderful conversations!

We are so excited to announce that we've recently started using Famly, an all-in-one early childhood platform, that gives you real-time updates on your child's day straight to an app on your phone.📱

With Famly, you'll be able to access pictures, videos, and announcements via the newsfeed, or your child's profile. At the click of a button, you can update permissions, report sickness and holidays, pay your bill, and send direct messages to us whenever you need. At the same time, there's a bunch of admin tools and support, that will give our staff even more time to spend with your children.🥰

Very soon, you'll receive a separate Welcome Email from Famly guiding you through how to set up your Famly account as a parent. If you have any questions, please speak to a member of staff!

🎄 ARBURY CHRISTMAS PARTY🎄

On Tuesday, the children enjoyed a Christmas party afternoon!🥳

The children had lots of fun from dancing, balloons, cake and party hats! The preschool children especially enjoyed lots of dancing to Frozen with pretend snow!🎅🏻🎄

🎣 ARBURY HAVE GONE FISHING🎣

This activity stemmed from a child’s idea and imagination as they tried to hook the wooden tools with some of the pipe cleaners. They said ‘I caught one!’🎣

Daniel suggested that they make some paper fish so they could catch them with the pipe cleaners, the preschool children also decorated their fish.

This activity allowed the children to develop their fine motor skills as they tried to twist the pipe cleaners to create their fishing rod. The children had to make their own choices when it came to deciding what colour they wanted and how many pipe cleaners they used! Some mathematical language was incorporated into this activity too! 🎣🎣🎣

We have really enjoyed celebrating Christmas jumper day at Arbury! We have loved seeing everyone’s different jumpers and outfits and engaging in lots of fun activities!

Tomorrow (Thursday 12th December) we are inviting children to wear their Christmas jumpers for Christmas jumpers day! 🎄🎅🎅

🎅🏻 CHRISTMAS OPENING HOURS🎅🏻

This is a polite reminder that Arbury Day nursery will be closing at 1:00pm on Christmas Eve (Tuesday 24th December).

The nursery will re-open on Thursday 2nd January.

Children who access a funded only space will return on Monday 6th January

🎅🏻 Santa’s visit to Arbury!🎅🏻

Yesterday, the children at Arbury were so lucky to have a very special visitor! We had lots of fun speaking to Santa and telling him what we wanted for Christmas! He asked us to leave him a mince pie and carrots for his reindeers!🎅🏻🎅🏻🎅🏻
