What a fantastic year of learning, leading and growing! 👏

Throughout their Level 2 journey, our students have taken their skills to the next level, developing the confidence and knowledge needed to become stronger leaders within the studio. They have worked on:

✨ Leading and creating warm ups and stretches
✨ Counting and cueing to music
✨ Selecting appropriate music for classes
✨ Coaching dancers in performance skills
✨ Creating choreography for specific age groups
✨ Teaching sections of a dance

One of the biggest achievements this year is that every single student has successfully led a warm up in front of their class! 🎉

We hope you enjoyed seeing their progress during our Future Dance Teachers Watch Week. It has been wonderful to see how much their confidence, communication skills and leadership abilities have developed throughout the year.

We are incredibly proud of everything they have achieved and can't wait to see them continue to grow as future dance teachers and role models within our studio. 💖

✨ The Maddie Lawley Inspiration Award 2026 ✨

Last night, we were incredibly proud to present the Maddie Lawley Inspiration Award to the wonderful...

💗 Anya Briggs 💗

This award isn't given for being the best dancer. It's awarded to someone who inspires others through their kindness, commitment, resilience and the positive impact they have on those around them.

Anya has been part of the Embody family since she was just 5 years old, joining us at our very first venue and performing in our third ever show back in 2013. Since then, she has grown into an outstanding young leader, role model and Future Dance Teacher.

Over the past three years, Anya has completed every Future Dance Teachers lesson, attended every training day, and dedicated countless hours to supporting classes, camps, performances and younger dancers. Whether helping backstage, assisting in class, supporting our Emerge SEND Performance Group, or encouraging younger students, she has always done so with patience, enthusiasm and a huge smile.

One of the things that makes Anya so special is her willingness to lift others up alongside her. She embodies everything this award represents and is an inspiration to dancers of all ages.

As she now begins an exciting new chapter studying Primary Education with QTS at Sheffield Hallam University, we know she has an incredible future ahead of her and will make a fantastic teacher.

Anya, thank you for everything you have given to Embody over the years. We are so proud of you and cannot wait to see what comes next. 💖

Created in honour of Maddie and everything she represents at Embody, this award celebrates a dancer who inspires others through their attitude, kindness, resilience, and positive impact on those around them.

We're so excited that Maddie will be returning home from Performing Arts College especially to present this year's award. 💛

The identity of this year's recipient remains a complete secret... 🤫

We cannot wait to see the look on their face when their name is announced and they receive this very special award from Maddie herself.
