Christmas Closure Notice �

On Friday we will be closing for the Christmas Holidays at 12pm.

We will remain closed over the Christmas period, and we will reopen as normal from January 6th, 2025. Normal opening times will resume from then on.

It's Christmas Card Day ❅

❆ Did you know in 1843 the first commercial Christmas card was created in England by a Sir Henry Cole. He was responsible for the idea of sending festive greetings onto a card. The originals are now worth a fortune and are in the British Museum as part of Queen Mary's 1900 collection.

❅ Every year at the MIRA technology Institute we host a Christmas card competition for NWSLC Graphic Design students. It's a fun challenge with an Amazon Voucher as the prize.

Industry News 🗞

First Bus has started work at the Basildon Bus Depot, in the town centre, as part of a joint initiative with Essex County Council to replace the current fleet of 55 diesel buses with electric vehicles.

The project, supported by a £4.8million grant from the Department for Transport’s zero emission bus regional area scheme, is combined with a £25.8m investment from First Bus.
