Exciting Opportunity: Join the Founding Team of Higham Lane North Academy – Opening September 2025! ⭐

We are thrilled to offer a unique opportunity to be part of the founding team at Higham Lane North Academy, a brand-new secondary school in Nuneaton, set to open in September 2025!

As the Headteacher’s PA/Office Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the school’s development during its early stages, initially working alongside a small, dedicated team and 150 Year 7 pupils. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is highly organised, adaptable, and possesses excellent communication skills.
If you are someone who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and has a strong administrative background, we would love to hear from you. Your expertise and dedication will help lay the foundation for a successful and thriving school community! If you have previous experience working in a school, whether in a primary or secondary setting, you will be uniquely positioned to excel in this role.

Interviews are likely to take place on Thursday 1st/Friday 2nd May.

Hello North Stars and families! ⭐

Which House will you belong to when you join Higham Lane North Academy? We don’t know yet – because YOU get to decide! We are excited to offer you the opportunity to vote for the House system that will shape our school.

If you’re joining us in September, you should have already received an email outlining the rationale behind each House option. Please make sure to read it carefully and cast your vote wisely (using the link) in this historic decision for HLNA!

Voting will close at 10am on Monday, 28th April, so make sure that you submit your vote before the deadline!

It's competition time! ⭐

Alex and the site team are very busy, working hard building our school! On our site visit this week we told them how excited you all are about being in Year 7 at Higham Lane North Academy. They were really interested to hear about how we met you all at our recent evening and the questions you were asking. They would really like to hear from you!

So, there are two competitions for you to enter! There are prizes, certificates and merits that you can earn for your house in September!

Choose from one of these competitions to enter:

1. Use your creative and art skills to design a card to Alex and the team to say Thank You to them for all their hard work building the school. They would love to see your drawings of the school; Or,

2. Write an email to Alex and the team (no more than 300 words) telling them a bit about yourself, and what you are looking forward to when you are at Higham Lane North Academy. You can even include a question for them if you wish!

Closing date for all entries: Thursday 10th April. Please email all entries to: [email protected] and remember to include your name and current primary school.

Almost 14,000 hours of work have now been completed by BAM at the HLNA site since work started just 10 months ago, and facilities are already being fitted!

Currently, the site team is working on the canopy roof, which will provide shelter for pupils when outside, and will soon be installing the kitchens for the dining hall.

How lucky our 150 founding Year 7 North Stars will be as the first pupils to use all the brand-new educational and support spaces, recreational and sports facilities, and equipment!

The progress made since construction work started at the Higham Lane North Academy site only in May last year is phenomenal, as you can see in the video we showcased at this month's Family Event, with 10 months' work condensed into under 3.5 minutes!

We will continue to share the latest updates and photos as we progress towards the site handover, ahead of pupils joining in September!
