Our Year 3’s did a wonderful job delivering our last collective worship of the term in church this morning! We also wished Mrs Read congratulations as she gets married during the Easter holidays and will be returning to school as Mrs Huckle.
Have a wonderful Easter everyone! 🐣

👋✨ Parents' Open Morning Magic! ✨👋
What a fantastic buzz around school this morning! It was wonderful to welcome so many parents in to see our amazing children in action — from creative crafts to brilliant brainwork, our classrooms were full of energy, learning, and smiles!
Parents also got a sneak peek into what lies ahead… 👀➡️ Next year’s classrooms! It was so special to watch the excitement (and a few proud glances!)
Thank you to all the grown-ups who came along - Miss Steele

Today our brilliant little Year 1 experimenters took on a leaky challenge! 🕵️♂️🧵 They tested different materials to see which ones could stop a sneaky leak and keep the water at bay. 🌧️🔧
Well done, Year One — science has never looked so fun (or soggy)! 😄👏

The Year 2 children followed an online draw along to create these stunning Easter cards that link to the work we have carried out in school about the Christian story of Easter. What wonderful artists we have!

It was fabulous to go to Church this afternoon for our collective worship. The children really enjoy when the Open the Book team visit and perform. Today they told the Easter story. Thank you to the Open the Book team for really bringing the stories to life!

One of our very talented Year 2 pupils, Forest, had a wonderfully creative weekend! After reading the book Stone Circles, Forest became so inspired that he researched the cost of visiting Stonehenge. Not stopping there, he took a trip to the garden centre to buy some rocks, and on Sunday, he built his very own version—brilliantly named 'Stoke-Henge'! Forest proudly announced that tickets to visit Stoke-Henge are just £1.50—a true bargain compared to the real Stonehenge!
Well done, Forest—such amazing creativity and initiative! 👏🪨🌟

The Reception children have had a wonderful day at the British Transport Museum! We found out about the materials used to make different types of transport, built and tested a car using Lego, listened to Jim telling us all about Bessie the 100 year old bus and how different she is to the buses today, saw the inside of a car that had been cut in half and talked about what makes a car faster or slower. We even got to ride in a very old police car! The children really enjoyed travelling by coach, noticing lots of different vehicles along the way and talking about how high up we were, how we knew we were nearly home and generally enjoying the chance to chat to our friends and adults. All of the adults were incredibly proud of our children today. The staff at the museum commented on our lovely manners and how enthusiastic we were! A huge ‘thank you’ to our parent and grandparent helpers for giving up a day to help the children to enjoy such a fabulous day! 🤩

What a fabulous afternoon of netball from the Year 6 girls at today’s tournament: fabulous games, great scores, well over 20 goals scored and demonstration of the skills they have been taught at Mrs Warwick’s netball club. We couldn’t be more proud of them. Light blue team 5th in their round, dark blues 2nd overall and through to the next round. Well done to ALL the girls. You were a credit to St Margaret’s!

George has been working so hard on his phonics this year and it shows! Miss Steele was incredibly proud of him this morning 🤩

Extra support in Year 6 was very welcome this afternoon. After doing the register, Mr Dougal ensured everyone was listening in RE, checked on writing and understanding, before finally listening to children reading and finding out more about the creation story.

And another proud pupil showing off their brilliant work to Miss Steele this morning.

A 'BIG' thank you to everyone that purchased books from our Books for Bugs wishlist for the school library, we are just busy labelling them all up ready for the children to then be able to check them out to read
