Both online and in person sessions, in the surrounding areas of Nuneaton, are available throughout August. Solidifying the knowledge that your child has learnt in the previous year will support your child's development in the new year, when building on their current skills.

Hello everyone, I'm opening up my tutoring services again this summer to support your children to develop their Mathematical, English, Reading and even Phonics knowledge. Please let me know if you are interested in individualised planning and fun learning for your children.

Mental health and developing a child's confidence and self-esteem are of paramount importance here at Miss Wincote. I use a holistic approach that creates a safe and engaging environment. The development of emotional literacy in children helps to build a more empathetic and kind society for the future.

Learning through play and what engages my students is the key to success and reaching each student's goals.

Here at Miss Wincote, I create long-term plans for my students who work on a wide range of National Curriculum. These plans are different each term and include reading, maths and English activities alongside the development of foundation subjects. Some examples of the titles of those long-term plans are 'Rainforests' and 'Planning a Summer Music Festival'. These have been engaging and exciting for my students. After such a challenging year, it's so lovely to have the summer to look forward to. It's such a fab time to relax and enjoy the sunshine. However, it's also a great opportunity to develop and learn skills and hobbies that we love. This summer I am offering sessions to my current students and to any newcomers that feel that they need a helping hand when developing their knowledge of the National Curriculum! Like always, my sessions are completely individualised so that each child can access my materials and resources and achieve their goals.

My aim at Miss Wincote tutoring is to provide a 1-1 personalised experience in the online learning space that I have seen boost, my pupils, self-confidence and passion for learning. Each lockdown has been tough on each and every person, however, learning and reading allow us to open our minds and be transported to new worlds in every book.

Communication is at the heart of what I do due to both the virtual aspect of the tutoring that I provide as well as the focus that I have on discussing children's successes and areas of improvement with parents and carers. I believe that communication benefits a child's learning journey as weekly feedback that I provide to parents and carers about their child's progress increases the understanding of where they could help at home and learn more about the education system itself.

As students and teachers settle back into a regular school schedule, many teachers aren't setting the same amount of homework or projects as previous years this half term. Therefore, if you are interested in receiving tutoring, I can create individualised lesson plans based on other subjects that may need some more 1-1 help. I can also use a child's topic at school (such as rainforests) to create a session that broadens a child's knowledge on that topic to help them in the classroom.

Having a focus on reading, discussing stories and other literature is something that I see as of paramount importance to progressing a child's learning journey. It helps to develop a child's reading skills, speaking and listening skills and subject knowledge on a range of subjects. Reading is powerful, but it should also be enjoyable to the child and encouraged by providing a range of literature.

My aim is to be as inclusive and accessible as possible. Therefore, the sessions that I create are personalised and individually created to suit every child and their needs, wherever they are. This way the learning journey that I have with each child can be supportive, engaging and effective. Tutoring is a unique opportunity that allows a child to have 1-1 help, which is often difficult to receive in mainstream education.
