🕕 18:15 Solar Eclipse starts.
🕖 19:11 Maximum Partial Solar Eclipse. The Moon will be covering about 91% of the Sun. In northern Scotland maximum will be at 18:56. In Cornwall, the maximum will be at 19:16.
🕗 20:05 Eclipse ends. It may become difficult to see the Sun at the end of the eclipse as it starts to set.

Today we spent the day learning all things Space 🪐🌠🌌

We have had a brilliant day 😊

To some it may just be a trip out to somewhere fun...but to us it is...

Communication & Language
• Listening to adults and guides talking about space.
• Learning and using new vocabulary such as space, planet, rocket, astronaut, Moon, Earth, star.
• Asking questions and talking about what they notice.
• Recalling and discussing the visit afterwards.

Personal, Social & Emotional Development
• Developing confidence in an unfamiliar environment.
• Following group routines and safety instructions.
• Taking turns and sharing experiences with peers.

Physical Development
• Walking around the centre and navigating different spaces safely.
• Developing spatial awareness and coordination.
• Using equipment and interactive exhibits appropriately.

Literacy

• Talking about pictures, displays and books.

And then this afternoon we went off to a petting session with Pets at Home and The Groom Room Nuneaton

We were able to interact with the small animals in the store, learn about how to care for them, what they eat and how many hours they sleep!
