Be the dance parent the other parents can’t stand because you’re so darn positive in the lobby.
Be the parent who doesn’t jump into the gossip. The one who offers another perspective. The one who says, “You know, maybe there’s more to the story.”
Be the parent who recognizes what your child is gaining beyond great dance training. The mentors. The teachers. The confidence. The friendships. The people who are helping your child grow up.
Be the parent who stops once in a while and thinks how cool it is that your child has a healthy body that can move, dance, and express the emotions of life through this art we all love.
Be the dance parent every studio owner wishes they had.
And no, that doesn’t mean you never speak up. Ask questions. Share concerns. If something doesn’t feel right, have the conversation.
It means you start from a place of trust.
It means you don’t feed the negativity that can slowly change the culture of a studio.
Because whether we realize it or not, parents help create the culture too.
And every child deserves to dance in a place where the teachers, the studio owner, and the parents are rooting for them.

Happy international dance day 💙
Today we celebrate all the many positive things that dance brings to us. Resilience, confidence, friendships, freedom, adventure, mobility, expression and joy (To mention a few)
The happy faces (see photo) the giggles, the family environment, the excitement, determination and the support is second to none!
So grateful for all the wonderful students, families and friends I’ve met along the way
I’m also so very grateful every day that my life has and always will revolve around dance💙

Last rehearsal over and done….now time to try and enjoy what will be an amazing experience for my girls 🥰
This is the first time I have EVER taken my school out of the country in my 16 years of teaching 🙏🏻
It has been a stressful journey (for me mostly 🤣) but hopefully all of the rehearsals, costume sorting, hard work, late nights, emails, phone calls etc have been worth it.
A huge thank you to and for all of your hard work and help behind the scenes and all the fundraising to help make this wonderful event happen.
