For STEAM Day, the Toucans class had an exciting time learning all about dinosaurs.
The learners became excavators, carefully dusting off fossils and chipping away at dinosaur eggs to reveal their very own prehistoric creatures.
The learners also created dinosaur prints in playdough and explored messy, muddy tuff trays.
They even got creative by making their own dinosaurs and they enjoyed pretending to be them, stomping and roaring like real dinosaurs!

As part of STEAM day there was a PE activity in the hall linked towards Science and maths which included a space sensory circuit in where the equipment turned in to the galaxy.
There was also a throwing activity where meteors were made from tin foil and learners had to throw these into the holes in space and different holes had different points allowing the learners to use maths skills to add up a points tally.

For Maths on Steam Day the learners made bridges out of spaghetti and marshmallows and discover how big they could make them, we also were able to test different fruits and identify which ones are heavier and lighter.
They also were able to make ramps and see how the height affects the speed going downward.

As part of STEAM day, our learners had an exciting time exploring a range of hands on computing and STEAM activities set up by our Computing Lead. From engaging STEM kits that encouraged logical thinking and problem-solving, to teamwork challenges where learners collaborated to engineer a moving robot โ the creativity and focus were fantastic!
Some learners also had the opportunity to express their imagination and coding skills by designing their own unique programs on Scratch.
It was a wonderful day full of curiosity, collaboration and creativity โ well done to all our learners for their amazing efforts!

Another football tournament for our ALP Nuneaton football team in which learners enjoyed another successful day as well as glorious sunshine at Rugby town football club.
Some really good football was played by everybody, some silky skills, passing and moving and everybody battling hard with some fantastic teamwork.
Overall within the tournament we were able to grab ourselves a few goals and there was lots of enjoyment from all of the players and teachers who attended. Very proud of all of the team and how they are getting better with each time we play.

๐๐๐๐๐ - ๐๐๐ข๐๐ง๐๐!
For STEAM Day 2024/25, the theme was Adapt and Change. In Science, students conducted three experiments: Liquid density, siphon colour change and exploding paint rockets. In the liquid density experiment, learners carefully layered liquids by density and observed how objects sank or floated in different layers. The siphon colour change experiment introduced the concept of siphoning, as learners predicted the final liquid colour before watching liquids transfer and mix through a vacuum effect.
Finally, in the exploding paint rockets activity, learners combined paint and effervescent tablets in film canisters, launching them skyward to create vibrant paint explosions.
These hands-on activities were both educational and exciting, reinforcing scientific principles through engaging, creative exploration.

๐๐๐ฒ ๐!
The time has come to say goodbye to ALP Nuneaton HAF for now.
However, it's safe to say we definitely went out with a bang!
Today we have been practicing our balloon modelling skills, grounding ourselves with sensory walks and even learners getting back to nature with some forest schools!
We wish all our ALP community an enjoyable Easter break.

As part of our Centenary Celebrations, weโre continuing our Acts of Kindness initiative by spreading some Easter cheer!
This month, we were delighted to donate 50 Easter eggs to the children at (Aspire Learning Partnership) in Nuneaton.
Rathan Kumar (Trainee Solicitor) and Craig Everitt (Partner) had the pleasure of personally delivering the eggs to the school.
We hope this small gesture brought lots of smiles and a little extra sweetness to their Easter celebrations!
Hereโs to 100 years of serving our community and many more to come.

Staff and learners took part in a colour run where learners showed brilliant exploration and enjoyed exploring all of the different colours, throwing the colourful powders around and getting messy!
Well done Rainforest!

Our learners had an unforgettable time immersing themselves in the magical world of Whispering Willows which is a beautifully crafted sensory theatre experience inspired by the novel The Wind in the Willows.
Designed especially for young people with sensory needs, this captivating performance brought the story to life through music, props, and non-verbal physical theatre. Our learners were not just spectators but active participants, fully engaged in exploring the interactive props and connecting with the story in their own unique ways.
Seeing their faces light up with excitement and curiosity was truly heartwarming! It was a fantastic opportunity for our learners to experience the joy of theatre in a fully inclusive and accessible way.
A huge thank you to Open Theatre for providing such an incredible experienceโwe canโt wait for the next one!
