Another jam packed sunny week at Lake Haven! A visit from the Police to talk through personal safety, Eid celebrations, planting saplings, lamb cuddles and feeding, planning our geography map work, the crucifixion story, angles, perimeter and area, lemon drizzle cake, amazing narrative stories from around the world plus so much more. Have a lovely weekend everyone ❤️ 👮‍♂️ 🐑 🌳 ☀️

I think Spring has certainly sprung at Lake Haven this week. The joyful leaps of our lambs, the glorious sunshine, afternoon tea for the rabbits and so much more.

Butterfly mayhem this week. To support National Science Week, we’ve been looking how butterflies adapt to their natural environment. Can you spot ours?!
Science experiments have been conducted throughout the school - making rainclouds, reversible and irreversible changes, jumping raisins, pollution testing and so much more. All alongside our usual lessons and forest school. Fabulous week as always, thank you Team Lake Haven ❤️ 🦋

It has been a whirwind of a week at Lake Haven. The sunshine seems to have brought a busyness and a hive of activity throughout all classes. Gerbils shopping, pancakes, circulatory system, perimeters, tile painting, dialling 999 calls, multiplication and so much more! Not to mention world book day thrown in the mix!

❤️📚World Book Day 2025 📚❤️!
Thank you Miss Nattrass and all adults and children for making this one of the best and most memorable days. Our potato book characters are just awesome! From Paddington, to the Hobbit and Simba from the Lion King - so many amazing conversations around our favourite stories. Not to mention a few fabulous outfits of Puss In Boots, Alvin the Chipmunk, Wonderwoman, the Shadow from Peter Pan, Matilda and a few visitors from Hogwarts. The mystery book title hunt and then who was hiding behind the book quiz. Amazing day, Lake Haven, thank you!

First week back after the break and we haven’t stopped for a moment. Instructions texts, performance poetry, 3D shapes, making blood cells, investigating the use of palm oil in our foods and looking at the various systems in our bodies and sewing! All of this making for a busy week and we’re sure quite tired children and staff

Such a busy week to finish the half term off! Exotic animal visits, police exploitation workshop, concluding a wonderful sewing project, farm and animal cleanouts, breakfast pancakes, swimming, forest school, music & cookery lessons, . . . That's on top of all our core subject learning! Lake Haven children have definitely earned a week off, see you in 10 days, ready and rested to go again 😀

A huge thank you to Simon from Corner Exotics for a fabulous animal & habitat fact filled day. The children are FEARLESS and full of knowledge. Apologies in advance to our parents/carers, I feel you may be getting some requests for new pets! 🐍🐌🕷🐸🦎🦔

The end of another busy week of activities at Lake Haven School. Finding fun with the wind and DIY kites, discovering energy with homemade windmills, maths in the sand, yummy pasta sauces and den making for hedgehogs just to name a few. . . I hope the children are ready for a weekend rest as we certainly are!

A great week of trying delicious new foods for Lunar New Year 🈲️, multiplying ❌ ️& dividing ➗️, woodland stories🐿, giant slime bubbles🫧, delicious mud kitchen concoctions🍵 and so much more . . .

Chicks 🐥 , chocolate 🍫 , cubed numbers, cuddles 🥰 and washing up! All in a week at Lake Haven. ❤️ Happy weekend everyone ❤️
