We are aiming to launch our Level 2 Floorlayer - Wood Based apprenticeship in late autumn and looking for employers for our first group. You could be one of the first employers to support a timber floorlaying apprentice.

We have had an enquiry from a 16 year old, based in Duffield (Derbyshire), who would like to enter the flooring industry. Great choice! 🙌

It's amazing to see interest for the industry, and we all shout about attracting the younger generation into the trade, so it would be great to find an employer.

The latest Modern Joinery News has been released, and WEBS Training are looking at what employers should consider before they commit to taking on an apprentice in their business.

We're all for apprenticeships (as we're sure you know!) but it is important for employers to start their apprenticeship journey knowing what is expected, so both the employer and their apprentice can get the very most from their course 💚

WOOD you believe it?!

WEBS are thrilled to announce we will offering a Level 2 floorlaying apprenticeship for timber flooring! What makes this even more exciting is that we will be the only training provider to offer this apprenticeship 💪

Work is in process building floorlaying booths, and it won't be long before we are able to start our first wood flooring cohort.

We are super proud of our Wickes apprentice Leah, who has just been announced as shortlisted for the Inspirational Young Person category at the inclusion in Awards! An amazing achievement! 👏

Training Officer Jay says "It's great to see Leah on the shortlist, and wishing her all the best."

A huge congratulations also to partner employer Wickes, for the organisation and their team members being shortlisted in a fantastic five categories in total!

It's amazing to be the training provider for a company who is leading the way in inclusivity - well done!

Lots of luck to Leah and Wickes in the final!

Did you know? As of 1st August the government extended its 100% course funding for SMEs from age 21 to age 24.

For our floorlaying apprenticeship, that's a saving of £850 if you now take on an apprentice within this new age bracket.
