An apprenticeship is the first step in a fantastic career - you have learned amazing skills and no-one can take this achievement away from you! Well done!

We have had all the results for Wickes Bathroom cohorts 2 and 3 apprentices who have been completing their end point assessments over the last couple of weeks – and a huge congratulations to the following learners who have now achieved their apprenticeship!

Both groups did amazingly with most of the cohorts achieving Distinction!

More incredible apprentice achievements to come back from the bank holiday to, as we are so excited to learn that our recently completed apprentice Sarah Ray-Dobson of National Theatre has been shortlisted at the ABTT: Association of British Theatre Technicians Awards for Apprentice of the Year!

We completed a spotlight on Sarah last year showcasing the amazing work she does as part of an alternative career in woodworking, and now it's even more incredible she is being recognised by the theatre industry!

It's more amazing news for our floorlaying apprentices as the CFA Contract Flooring Association Apprentice of the Year finalists have been announced and we have not one, BUT TWO of our apprentices shortlisted!

A huge congratulations to Jack Evans of Baker Flooring Ltd and Sam Shetliffe of Capital Flooring & Blinds on reaching the final! 🌟

The winner will be announced the InstallerSHOW on Wednesday 24th June - best of luck to both of you!!!

It's not just our training officers that have been shortlisted for the BIFIS - the British Institute of Fitted Interiors Specialists - one of our apprentices has too!!!

A huge congratulations to Ben Parsons of Bradbury Flooring who is a finalist in the Apprentice of the Year category!

On the shortlist, Bradbury Flooring have said "Ben has shown real dedication, skill, and enthusiasm throughout his time with us, and we’re incredibly proud of the progress he’s made. This recognition is a testament to his hard work and commitment to the trade."

Ben adds "I feel like i am settling in really well, a lot to learn but eager to learn and never too old to learn something new. The apprenticeship has given me a chance to develop into a trade with a chance of a great career ahead."

An amazing achievement Ben, and best of luck at the awards! 🌟

We are proud that our joint MD James Woolley has recently been admitted as a Freeman to The Furniture Makers' Company.

WEBS Training have long been supporters of the livery, particularly The Furniture Makers Company Charity, which supports those in the furniture industry that may fall on hard times – and has even supported WEBS apprentices in the past. We always encourage employers and learners to get involved in local events to help built the community of the industry they have joined.

“I am very pleased to now be a Freeman of The Furniture Makers Company, especially with all the positive work they do.” says James. “I have already met some great people as part of my membership and I’m looking forward to collaborating in future.”

Three others were admitted as Freemen at this admission ceremony, James Lawrence of Ocee and Four Design, Trevor Scott of Rigby Fitted Kitchens, and Geoff Tucker of GRT Countryside Care.
