Christ the King is a living faith community inspired by the spirit of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

The Academy’s ethos and mission are rooted in the traditions of the Catholic faith where we strongly believe that every child should be nurtured and cared for according to the teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ. In addition, the Christ the King community works in close partnership with four parishes to ensure that the links between the Catholic Church and our Academy remain strong. On October 1st

Last week, CTK Sixth Form welcomed Andrew from Asset to discuss the R&BE Initiative – Register to be a Lifesaver. He discussed blood, stem cell and organ donation with students, and the importance registering and how easy it is to sign up.

We were also thrilled to receive an award in recognition of CTK’s support of R&BE over the years.

The Eucharist is the source and summit of our faith. The Eucharist is a powerful way in which we receive Jesus Christ into our hearts and are united with him as one body. The Eucharist is a source of strength and nourishment, and as we receive it, just as the disciples did at the Last Supper, we are reminded of God's love for us and of our call to love others.

The Trinity is a mystery that we can never fully understand, but it is a central part of our Catholic faith. The Trinity is the belief that there is one God who exists in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three persons are distinct from each other, but they are also one God. This special feast helps us reflect on how we understand God and inspires us to get to know him more closely in our lives.

Say a prayer this week to God the father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit and think about who God is to you.

A reminder that there’s still time to have your say on Nottinghamshire County Council’s proposed changes to faith school transport. The 910 bus could be affected.

Even if you’re not directly affected, the proposals could still impact access to faith education and our wider school community.

Have your say - your response could support families and make a real difference.

Take part by Friday 12 June:
