Long Eaton Kickboxing 🥊

We are a Japanese Freestyle Kickboxing club.

We offer classes to both adults and children.

As a Freestyle system we train and teach more techniques than are to be found in both Full contact/light continuous kickboxing and K1.

✔️ Our striking techniques come from Kickboxing, Muay Thai and Kyokushin karate.
✔️ Our clinching and catching techniques come from Shootboxing and Muay Thai.
✔️ Our sweeping techniques come from Shootboxing, Muay Thai, Kickboxing and Kyokushin karate.

We hold classes on the following days:

Monday:
Kids kickboxing age 7-15 5-6pm
Mixed adults kickboxing 6-8pm
Adults Shootboxing/Full contact karate 8-9pm

Wednesday:
Mixed adults kickboxing 7-9pm

✔️ We are a family run club.
✔️ Our classes are suitable for all abilities.
✔️ Beginners are always welcome.
✔️ We are members of the UKSA and BMABA.
✔️ We offer a nationally recognised grading syllabus.
✔️ We have trained champions at English, British and European level in several different martial arts rulesets.
✔️ All instructors are fully insured, Enhanced DBS checked, first aid trained and safe guarding qualified.
✔️ We have 25+ years experience teaching, training and competing in martial arts.

Coming soon on Feb 1st there will be a UKSA kickboxing seminar with 3 instructors!

All have a different style and flavour so it will be a great chance for students to learn off of someone different.

No one style or instructor has all the answers and there is most definitely always something new to learn.

I’ve always been of the belief that even if you wouldn’t use a technique yourself you need to understand it as one day it may be used against you by someone who does use it.

SHOOTBOXING CLASSES 🥊

What is Shootboxing? 🤔

Shootboxing is a Japanese combat sport which fuses striking and grappling techniques together seamlessly.

✅ Striking: Punches, kicks, knees and elbows to head, legs and body.

✅ Grappling: Takedowns, throws, sweeps, slams, catches and trips are all legal.

✅ Standing submissions: Choking techniques, arm locks and shoulder locks are all legal.

Good Shootboxing skills teach how to out grapple a striker and how to out strike a grappler.

Out of all striking based arts it offers the most in terms of technique, strategies and possibilities.

Fantastic way to start off our training year 🥊

2 hours of sparring rounds. Lots of people came and went, these guys all stayed start to finish. Wonderful to share time with everyone. 🙂
