We are pleased to invite submissions from anyone wishing to present papers. Please send abstracts of no more than 300 words by 15 October 2023 to [email protected].

Acceptance will usually follow by 15 November, although can be provided earlier in the event that the visa process requires earlier confirmation.

Full papers are required by April 2024.

As in previous conferences, we anticipate that a small number of bursaries for early career academics from the Global South and practitioners to support participation at the conference will be available. Applications will open in October with further details to be found on our website in due course.

Bursaries - The University of Nottingham 16/05/2022

We are pleased to announce that a small number of bursaries to support participation at our Public Procurement: Global Revolution XI conference are now available.
The UK-based Procurement Lawyers Association (PLA) will be offering a number of bursaries of up to £750 to attend the Global Revolution Conference. Applications are invited from PLA members and from those interested in procurement practice in the UK. Junior lawyers and those starting out in practice are particularly welcome to apply.
The Public Procurement Research Group of the University of Nottingham will be offering bursaries of up to £1,000 for overseas applicants.

Please send your applications by close of business on Friday 27 May 2022 using the form on our website, setting out in no more than 300 words why you would benefit from the bursary.

The bursaries will cover the registration fee (reduced rate of £295) and a contribution to travel and accommodation costs up to the total available per person.

Advance Notice

Public Procurement: Global Revolution XI
13-14 June 2022

Having relied upon technology to host a successful virtual event in June 2021 due to the ongoing uncertainty over the Coronavirus pandemic, the Public Procurement Research Group is now very pleased to be able to announce that the next in our series of Global Revolution conferences, Public Procurement: Global Revolution XI will now be held in person once again on 13-14 June 2022 at the East Midlands Conference Centre. All necessary precautions will be taken to ensure the wellbeing of everyone involved.

There will also be a hybrid element to the event, including access to the keynote sessions, which will run in parallel, but the conference itself will be in person. There will not be virtual access to the full programme.

Detailed information will appear on the conference website shortly but you can visit it now to find out about previous conferences. A call for papers will be published imminently.

We are pleased to announce our one-day special virtual event replacing the planned "on site" Public Procurement: Global Revolution X conference which has now been moved to 13-14 June 2022.

This special virtual event will feature an extended plenary session in which we will bring you a line-up of renowned speakers from major international organisations, academe and practice, giving you an in-depth update on what is happening globally in the world of procurement regulation. There will also be a special half-day session on proposed procurement reform in the UK under the Green Paper, featuring key speakers from the Cabinet Office.

The event is structured around two main sessions, in the morning and the afternoon. You may register for either one of these sessions or both:

Due to the ongoing Covid-19 crisis, we have reluctantly decided to postpone our forthcoming Public Procurement: Global Revolution X conference to June 2022. Our priority is to ensure the safety and well-being of everyone involved.It will now take place on 13-14 June 2022.

However, we have also decided to run a free-of-charge virtual 'Global Revolution Special' in 2021 on the date originally foreseen (but just one day - 22 June).

We can now announce that 21-22 June 2021 are the dates to save if you are interested in attending Public Procurement: Global Revolution X at the University of Nottingham! Themes have not yet been set. However, the planned new regulations for the post-Brexit UK will certainly feature heavily, along with new developments and trends around the world. We aim to launch our brand new bespoke website for the event in April so watch this space or the Public Procurement Research Group’s website for further news soon.
