Hey guys!!

As promised here are the positions that you can nominate yourself for for the upcoming academic year 24-25!

As a valued member of our society, we invite you to actively contribute success of our society by considering a role on the Archaeology Society Committee.

The Committee plays a crucial role in shaping the direction of our society, organizing events, and fostering a sense of community among its members.

Nominations Open: Monday 14th October 2024, 9:00 AM

Nominations Close: Friday 18th October, 12:00 PM

To nominate yourself, please follow these simple steps:

1. Visit the Students’ Union Website https://su.nottingham.ac.uk/elections/list
2. Log in to the SU website with your University email.
3. Locate the role you want on the elections page.
4. Complete the nomination form, including a manifesto of no more than 500 words outlining why people should vote for you.
5. Upload a photo of yourself to accompany your manifesto, the photo should be no more than 300px X 300Px

The roles up for Nomination are:
- President
- vice President
- gen Secretary
- Treasurer
- trip Secretary
- social Secretary
- welfare officer
- publicity officer

There may be many roles however only 3 are required for us to make sure we can run this year for you guys without them there can be no society :(

- President
- treasurer

Nominating yourself is a fantastic opportunity to make a positive impact on our society and gain valuable experience in leadership and teamwork. Whether you’re a seasoned committee member or a first-time nominee, we welcome your enthusiasm and fresh ideas.

HADRIAN’S WALL 🥾

The department of Archaeology and classics are hosting a field trip to Hadrian’s wall led by Will Bowden and Chris King!

8 - 9 March 2024 (end of reading week)

The department has mostly covered the cost, so all you have to pay is £45. Which includes travel, accommodation, site entrances and food (minus Friday lunch)

Sounds like a bargain to me!

Meeting at 8am on Portland east drive,, and we should be back at 7:30pm.
